Grey and his lovely friend Stella had a wonderful time at their senior prom; and, as always they both looked so dapper! Time is moving too quickly. . . sigh ❤️ taken in Granville, Ohio by @emilyhughessmith

This boy turned 18 yesterday! In the blink of an eye he has grown into an interesting, empathetic, creative and all-around-good human being. Grateful to have the privilege to watch him evolve and to come into his own. 🥹😭❤️ by @emilyhughessmith

The year started off with many ups and downs. It has been a time of reflection and healing. Wanted to highlight the positives; since last year I never shared our many travels and joys among the trials. 2025 has kicked off with traveling club soccer, college tours in Chicago and LA, a road trip with my brother, celebrating Evi for her graduate school acceptances, and Mia at her art shows and bridal shower. by @emilyhughessmith

Otis Bear is about 14 weeks old and he has already had so many adventures. I think his true calling is to join the fire dept. after two exciting events in less than a week. But the reality is we are the ones putting out the fires, not Otis, with a new pup in the house. And yes, he is this gigantic already! 😂🐶🚒

This incredible kid is 16 years old today! Each year I am continually amazed by his creative talent, thoughtfulness and openness to explore, adapt, and find beauty and interest in things I may normally overlook. How lucky we are to know him, love him, and be inspired by him daily. Happy Birthday Grey!

Our hearts are broken after we said farewell to our best friend. Always a lap dog, never knew a stranger, and brought so many laughs and love to our family and friends over the past decade. Cheval we loved you more than you will know. Thank you for teaching us about unconditional love, the importance of pausing, taking in nature, living in the moment and having us come along for a walk to reset our mood no matter what our days entailed. You showed us the best of the simple life and you will be missed more than you know.

Super Proud Parent Moment: The Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition is open to all of Ohio's 1,112 high schools. This year there were over 8,300 entrants. Only 278 pieces were selected for the jurors awards. Grey was only 1 of 3 Freshmen in the state to be recognized - and he not only received one award, but two for his art and animation. Here is a pic of his latest stop motion film set that is in process. Look forward to the formal award ceremony come April to recognize this super cool kid.
