Well for all of you that didn’t know I had a stroke 433 days ago! And this is the first thing I have painted since then that I felt I could post!! It’s a celebration for me! It’s been a long journey one that I have learned a lot on! I am so grateful for everyone and to God and Jesus for helping me get through the difficult times! After the stroke the Dr.’s told my family that I wouldn’t talk or walk again!! It has been a miracle!! I am truly grateful for a great team of Dr.’s, Surgeons, Nurses, Physical Therapist’s, both in the hospital and at home! It has definitely been a team effort with all my family members amd amazing friends! I thak you all it seems so little to say thank you but truly I mean it from the bottom of my heart ♥️ #miraclescanhappen #icandohardthings #thankful by @emilyjaynecreates

Hand painted pattern play for a new project I am working on. To me there is nothing more relaxing than working in a series of new pattern paper. I love hand painting them with no pre planning or pressure of how they are going to look when I am done. Usually a theme, a color pallet and then I take a brush to the paper!! #acrylicpainting #freedomtopaint #patternmaking by @emilyjaynecreates

If you love puppies you will want to help Lakota and her amazing owner Brandi! Brandi and Lakota were in a terrible accident two days ago on an Interstate in Idaho when they hit black Ice. Lakota was thrown from the vehicle in her Kennel and due to weather conditions was not found for 2 days miraculously alive. Brandi was transported to Eastern Idaho Medical Center with a fractured neck, back, and a brain bleed. As a single woman she can not return to work as a CNA in a Rehab facility! This lady is so important to my brother Randy who himself has been given life saving care by Brandi!! Please share her story and give if you can!!! Anything helps!!!! Here to brighten up your Wednesday is my February 8th prompt for Fiesta! 🎉🪅🎊 I did another painting from @amanda_evanston class #insidersstudiomexicanfolkart with its fun colors and folk art style, the play of line work and brilliant florals!! Definitely give me the vibe of being in Mexico seeing the bright patterns on the dresses and tops, even tablecloths!! Ooh Trent just left for Mexico today may have to text him a shopping list!! Oops I digress!! I named this painting “Her Name Was Lola” inspired after my feisty mother in-law who we lost last may. She was my biggest fan! She always made a comment on here and made me smile with her unfaltering support. She truly thought I could do anything! I miss her support and I really miss her comments on Instagram. She loved her 3 sons so much! Lola thank you for always cheering me on!! I hope you and grandpa are having a Fiesta today!!!! Love you!! #februaryflowers2023 #artistoninstagram #handpainted DM for purchase 8 x 10 acrylic on heavy watercolor paper by @emilyjaynecreates

February 3 Floppy!!! Bleeding Hearts. One of my very favorite flowers my mom had in her garden. When I was little and she showed me the little girl inside of the heart when turned upside down and gently torn, I was smitten. Honestly I still am. Be still my tender heart!!!! 5 x 7 acrylic on canvas!!! DM to purchase. #februaryflowers2023 #missmymom by @emilyjaynecreates

February 1rst, “spotted” is the prompt from @amanda_evanston for #februaryflowers2023 so I painted a sunflower 🌻 but alas I didn’t love the painting only one lone sunflower! This happens in art, so I did something different late last night, knowing something I needed to post something today. I cut out this subflower and then I took backgrounds I had and being February I had hearts lying around, so here we have it! 🌻♥️ #februaryflowersnumber1 #ispottedasunflowerinafieldofhearts by @emilyjaynecreates
