Thank you @uscedu and @uscsda for a Bachelor Degree in Theater with an emphasis on Acting and a minor in Business Entrepreneurship! I’m grateful for all I’ve learned, side quests, all the friends I’ve made and the free HBO max. The biggest thank you of all goes to my famous lizard Gregor! 🦎 To many more adventures post grad!

I was really debating making a caption for this, but it’s not everyday you get to graduate from USC! (Or in person since I’m hs class of 2020)

I never had a dream school, but I was obsessed with studying in LA to pursue my dreams an actress. I mean I would be the first person ever to move here with that dream right? (Jokes) The odds have always been stacked against me, but I feel as if I’m meant to be here. The gut feeling I had is what pushed me to attend despite every obstacle including very real financial ones. My parents sacrificed a lot to come to this country as immigrants and this comes with a pressure to succeed. I really believe almost to a delusional sense that I will be successful, because I have to be. My single father put me through school, and his hard work means everything to me. The support and encouragement recieved from not only my father but my extended family means everything, because I know I’m pursuing an untraditional career.

College was difficult to say to the least, and there were times where being at USC and continuing my education felt overwhelming or lonely. However, the friends I’ve made along the way gave me hope and pushed me to fight on✌️ (ew). There are friends I’ve grown apart from whom I wish the best! There are people who are no longer here to celebrate with me, who I’ll keep in my prayers. There are my home friends who kept me grounded especially in times of homesickness. There is my little sister who I miss everyday, and make decisions I hope she’d be proud of in the future. I’ve made mistakes in college, but I’ve also grown a lot. (Shoutout therapy) I continually strive to surround myself with people who not push me to be a better person, but inspire me with their own kindness, talent and passion!

The lessons I’ll be taking away from USC will last a lifetime! The teachers I’ve had have taught me to be resourceful and just how capable I am of creating my own opportunities. Shout out to @adam_chambers7 and @iamjustinkey for my showcase 🫶🏽 There are so many people I’d like to personally thank, but none of this would be possible without USC! Forever a Trojan ❤️💛✌️
