⚡️New decade - bring it on!⚡️ by @emilypherzig

Things I Learned: the PEAK2PEAK lift travels between the peaks of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. It is the highest and longest continuous lift system in the 🌎. @lizzielanger and I rode it 2x! Just after hiking across the snow capped Whistler ⛰ by @emilypherzig

Things I Learned: Ketchikan is the “Salmon Fishing Capital of the World” because of the huge population of pink salmon. But in total, there are 5 types of salmon: Chum, Sockeye, Silver, Pink and King 👑. @lizzielanger and I caught none.
Enjoy the baldie >> 📸: me (and damn proud of it) by @emilypherzig

Things I Learned: The White Pass & Yukon Route is considered an Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. In good company with: the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty 🗽, and the Panama Canal.
I also leaned that I have no patience for photography - @lizzielanger is gifted. by @emilypherzig

Things I Learned: The Mendenhall Glacier is only 1 of 38 glaciers in the Juneau ice field.🏔 Juneau is the only state capital that is not accessible by road.🛣 And crampons make me invincible.💪🏻

Things I Learned: Humpback 🐋 often leap out of the water and/or slap the water with their fins or tails. This behavior is known as "breaching.” by @emilypherzig

Things I Learned: Homer lies 4hrs south of Anchorage (Alaska’s largest city) and is known as the “Halibut Fishing Capital of the World.” 🎣 But beware of the tides - they’re so drastic that within 6hrs, the water level can change by 30ft. Also, Homer is the hometown of @jewel 🎶 by @emilypherzig

Things I Learned: The only transportation to Halibut Cove (and The Saltry) is by 🚤! The Saltry restaurant derives its name from the salteries that sprang up as a result of the herring run in the early 1900s. Today - salmon, halibut, cod, and oysters are most common. by @emilypherzig
