two years ago today I went to my sorority house for dinner like I always did, and we happened to be hosting a best buddies event. I randomly sat down at an open seat and started talking to the person next to me… not knowing I was about to meet someone who would become so important to me. from the second we started talking, I was immediately attached to his energy. james is seriously one of the most loving and caring people i’ve ever met. he makes everyone feel seen and loved, even if you’re a complete stranger. if he notices you look even a little off, he’ll immediately ask if you’re okay and be right there with hugs, kisses on the cheek, and so much love. little did I know I would end up needing james maybe even more than he needed me. james makes me unconditionally happy every time i’m around him. you could take him literally anywhere and he’d be happy just sitting by your side (especially mcdonald’s lol). he’s taught me so much about friendship and has made me a better person in so many ways. thank you fsu best buddies for giving me a friendship this special. and thank you james for truly being a Best Buddy. 🩵 by @emilystrivelli

26 days until graduation so time for the sappy post.

There’s a banner that hangs all over campus that reads “Who will you become while you’re here?” I remember reading that as a freshman wondering the same exact thing- and I never could’ve imagined how much these four years would change me.
Somewhere along the way, I found what I’m truly passionate about, found my faith, and met people who became family- some even future bridesmaids. My roommates especially- I’ll miss living with you more than I can put into words. This place has truly become my second home. Freshman me was so homesick and wanted to go home every weekend. Now, I don’t know how I’m going to leave this place. Thank you, kappa, for giving me friendships and memories that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. I’m so excited to continue pursuing a career in medicine and to keep caring for and serving others each and every day.
To my girls who still have time here- just know your homes will be my personal Airbnb’s!
