Struggling with writing this week. Anyone else?

Thoughts of doubt and fear creep in & it’s hard to shake. What do you tell yourself when you feel doubt?

Still currently reading The Serpent and The Wolf and I’ve got to say I wasn’t expecting that twist. I wasn’t expecting THIS person to do what they did.

To vent without giving spoilers, why was Vassa allowed to be alone at such a huge political event? 🤦‍♀️😩

Anyone else’s mind always on their current novel?
I haven’t officially published anything yet, and considering how long others have been writing, I’d think of myself as a newbie or beginner. But, I have a dream. I’m going to be a published author one day. I’m going to share my stories with the world. And, I’m going to do it at my own pace & without worrying about if I’m doing ‘it’ right. 🧡

A little encouragement to myself. I am going to finish writing this book. 📕

What stage in the writing process are you in?

Discovering writing has been one of the most rewarding experiences 🧡

I’ve learned so many new things about myself & about life. I can’t wait to share these stories with y’all.

A little reading from The Serpent & The Wolf by @rrobinsonwrites

I’m loving the political tension of this book. The characters are likable, and I’m enjoying the dynamic between Vassa & Reid. Almost to the midpoint, I’m having way too much fun guessing potential plot twists.

So incredibly stoked and words cannot explain.

Have y’all read The Love Hypothesis by @alihazelwood yet? I haven’t, but with all the hype about the upcoming movie, I couldn’t pass it by when I saw it on the library shelves. So now it’s sitting in my library bag, waiting for me to finish The Serpent & The Wolf by @rrobinsonwrites (which btw is a great read so far). Have a great Thursday!

So excited for fall! 🍂🧡

As August comes to an end, I feel immense gratitude for all of the blessings and lessons that this month has brought. My first month on bookstagram + sharing about my writing & reading journeys. This community is extremely welcoming, & I appreciate all of the support from fellow writers.

I’m still currently reading The Serpent & The Wolf by @rrobinsonwrites and I only plan on reading one other book in September 2026. It’s not that I read slow, I just have to juggle the time I set aside for reading with motherhood/being a wife, my writing, & my business throughout my day. It also depends on my mood. I can have 10-15 pages sessions, then turn around and pump out a 165 pages at a time at other times.

As far as writing goes, the goal is to complete 5 more chapters by the time October arrives, if I am going to meet my long-term goal of finishing writing my debut novel by the end of 2026. My novel’s blueprint has been laid out, and I am excited to see the first draft in my hands! Let’s go, September!
