Cancer changed every part of me.
It took so much from me physically, mentally, and emotionally. There were days I felt so weak I barely recognized myself anymore. The treatments exhausted me, the hospital stays became routine, and behind every smile were moments filled with fear, tears, pain, and exhaustion that most people never saw.
At only 25, I never imagined I would experience something that could completely shake my world the way cancer did. There were nights I cried myself to sleep asking God why this was happening to me. Nights where I felt scared of the unknown and overwhelmed by everything my body and mind were carrying.
But even in the darkest moments, I held onto my faith.
Jeremiah 29:11 became something I repeated to myself over and over again:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” 🤍
When I felt broken, God carried me.
When I felt exhausted, God gave me strength.
When I wanted to give up, God reminded me that my story wasn’t over.
And now, after every battle, every treatment, every setback, every prayer, and every hard day… I get to say the words I prayed endlessly for:
I’m cancer free. 🤍
This journey changed me forever. It brought me closer to God, taught me strength I never knew I had, and gave me a deeper appreciation for life, health, love, and every single day we’re given. It taught me not to take a single moment for granted and showed me how powerful faith can be even in the darkest moments.I’m not the same person I was before cancer, and I never will be — but I’m still here, and that alone is something I’ll thank God for every single day.
Thank you to everyone who prayed for me, loved me, supported me, and stood beside me through the hardest season of my life. I will carry that gratitude with me forever.
And to anyone silently fighting a battle right now — please don’t give up. There is still hope, even on the days you can’t see it. 🤍
God carried me through every moment in this battle , and i’ll spend the rest of my life thankful for it. THANK YOU GOD🎗️ by @emilyyyysutton
