Intangible

Me versus my scanner it hates to pick up certain blues I think. So here's several pictures in the hopes that you can see what I see right in front of me.

I painted this when i was very angry last weekend! I struggle sometimes, to feel justified when i'm upset in the moment. I often let things roll of my back and try to not disrupt anything, over intellectualize it and act like understanding means I shouldn't feel hurt. But then it builds up and months or years later i'm like "hey this actually upset me so much" and then I have to finally process that feeling. Capricorn moons rise up...

But on the other end of it all, allowing myself to be upset is why I painted this. I really love it!

Speaking of not letting yourself feel how you feel, and a delayed acceptance, as a kid I really loved hot pinks and magentas. But I didn't let myself like express that because I felt I wasn't allowed to like the hyper girly things (deemed a tomboy as a kid). That's a long time ago now, but I remembered that while writing this caption and thought it was an interesting layer to it all.

Almost forgot making art was for fun

Last night I realized I hadn't made much art just for fun/for me lately. Every time I work in my sketchbook its for fun, truly, but like. I mean without being a perfectionist or feeling like it has to meet a certain standard for me to post it. So I sat at my desk and drew my melon soda nudibranch plush and wrote some words :) girl drawing was from a notecard i left by my bed for a while that i wound up liking so I slapped it on the page LOL

Purrgatory Planet

Our submission for @rawpaw 's heaven and hell challenge this year!

"Suncat and Mooncat have escaped to Earth after the fall of their home planet. It oscillates between being heaven, having everything we need to live and thrive, to hell, wracked with disaster and power struggles. Suncat and Mooncat's story is about recognizing and caring for what you have, and pushing for a kinder world."

@nyasprite and i were excited to enter again as @forteana.je for this theme, since Mooncat and Suncat's story has a lot to do with the subject!! by @emiranun

Heres some sketchbook drawings, the page in pen (3rd slide) is very old now I believe.

Been busy at work and working on my project with @nyasprite most of the time. We based our sun and mooncats for @forteana.je after Tosca and his sister, Sunday a few years ago :3

Flygon <3

I for the life of me couldn't add anything to this drawing without feeling like it took away from Flygon. I did the sticky note bg, doodles around it etc but I just like it like this 😭 So here it is!

I've been deliberating over whether or not its done in between working on Forteana and working at my job lol. Biting the bullet today and posting

I love Flygon so much 😔💗 My first play through of Sapphire I had no idea how to get this thing. I went through the whole game not really seeing it, and when I battled Drake I didn't know how to beat it at all (i know now lol- but Sapphire was my first game as a kid and I was winging everything. I even had swampert as my starter but I spammed everything with surf and by the time I got here it could barely save me). I saved before every elite four member and I actually had to restart more times than I can count. I even gave up at one point and took the loss so I could go grind out some levels so I could finally beat the Flygon. Imagine my painful surprise when he sends out a second one.
