This summer wasn’t great. It was filled with mystery illnesses, an assault, depression, disappointment and death. But in the in between, I found some time to smile. Some time to try to enjoy the freedom that I have been able to carve out in this increasingly crazy world. Some time for art. For friends. For found family and furry life partners.

Gratitude is hardest in trying times but it has to start somewhere. Grateful for everyone who has been there for me in big and small ways. by @emisuesmith
