To my Sweet Granny, It’s been two long weeks. There aren’t enough words to describe how much I miss you. My heart feels shattered, completely broken. I’m sad, mad, hurt, broken, and anxious all at once. You were the absolute best grandma, and I don’t know how to begin to live in a world without you in it. You taught me the true meaning of love and selflessness. You showed me what it means to serve God and to care deeply for others. You were the heart of our family, a true matriarch who held everyone together. 6 children, 27 grandkids, 26 great-grandkids, and 5 great-great-grandkids.. that’s a legacy of love that all began with you. I know God welcomed you with open arms, because you were the epitome of a woman of faith, a true servant of His. But I’ll be honest, my faith feels shaken right now. I’m struggling to understand why He took you the way He did. I trust that He has a plan, but it’s hard to see it through these tears. I know you were so proud of all of us. And though it hurts so much, I know you’d want us to keep going. That’s the hardest part, that life keeps moving when all I want is one more hug, one more laugh, one more moment with you. Please watch over me, Grandma. Bring me peace on my hardest days and remind me that you’re still near. I’m not sure where to go from here, but I promise I’ll carry everything you taught me. Take your rest, sweet lady. You’ve done your work, we’ll take it from here. With all my love, Your (favorite 😅) granddaughter 🥺💔 by @emjayyyy__

Did somebody say Board Certified?! Today, I FINALLY passed the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner board exam and I am officially a PNP. This feels bittersweet. If you know me, you know that I initially planned to take this test immediately after graduation, but…… life. Over the last 7 months, I have done everything under the sun EXCEPT take this test. Between then and now, I have rescheduled this test more times than I would like to admit.. even paid for a few extensions 😅. I was scared. I was nervous. I was intimidated. I felt so many emotions, but I was not going to come this far and allow this test to defeat me. God has been so faithful. His timing was and is always better than mine, and His grace carried me through every moment of doubt. I am incredibly grateful and so excited for what’s ahead. To all of the little ones I’ll have the privilege of caring for, I can’t wait to meet you. Here’s to living in answered prayers 🥹 📸: @sbmediaprods_ by @emjayyyy__
