Our sweet sweet dog passed this morning. For ten years Jäger has been a big part of my life and family, through the ups and the downs. This December, he started suffering from degenerative myelopathy, which was taking away his ability to run and play like he loved to. We were expecting to put him down later this year due to the illness, and his passing was unexpected. He passed peacefully during a morning nap outside and has been laid to rest in our backyard that he loved to run around in so much. I still remember the day we went to look at him and siblings and the way he stood out from the rest. We went home and had a family meeting to choose a name and he was soon brought home. It’s so hard to lose someone you grew up with, but I know he had a happy life. by @emm_a_lyn06
