Something I’ve been thinking a lot about recently is how okay it is to need people. To rely on those around us for strength and support when we find it lacking within us. I tend do wander back to the mindset that ACHIEVING a certain point of courage will show how fearless I can be, a certain level of gentleness will prove I am a tender, loving and kind friend and partner, a certain level of effort will prove I am finally ready and worthy to create projects. Yet time and time again the people in my life show me in many ways that there will never be a perfect time, a perfect me, or a perfect level of achievement for these things to be true. The loves in my life keep me grounded as a human, woman and artist in ways I wouldn’t be able to feel if you weren’t in my life. I thank you all for helping me realize I wouldn’t be who I am, or doing what I do, without you. @melodyricketts The Writer, Director, genius and wonder behind this project, I adore and look up to you in more ways than you know, love you my wife. @bryonevansfilms The DP and Producer, you’ve taught me more than most, and are the blueprint for the kind of filmmaker I hope to be. Thank you for everything. @shannonbalazs The incredible AD and Production Designer, thank you for keeping us on track, keeping us grounded, and wearing so many hats. @hannahmaryjean @aaroncharlesfoster Godamn, what a team. You both are masters at your craft. What a pleasure to watch you bring #bleaklittlenumber to life. @blackhartlynn miss mama wardrobe Lynn! @stephen.george.ii the fella who takes the photos, thank you for making me look so stoic and chill when I’m actually moments away from setting a loud ice machine on fire. @haganmanfredi @kyrafields03 @its_ethan_rodgers @johnlsnel @soniagustavson_ and Henry! My dear friends, I would not and could not do this without yall❤️had a blast with you on this one, and excited for the many more to come, you’re my people! @themarcoakley @blakehyer @nicolasbullentini thank yall for adding to the magic of this one! by @emma.achtabowski
