Final race of the day was the Women’s open. Emma stayed with the group the entire 60min race and was able to get in on the final sprint and won some 💰 💵. Great way to end three races in a day. Back to life tomorrow and racing again in a couple of weeks! taken in World Wide Technology Raceway by @emma.b.cycling

Racing at @wwtraceway today near St Louis. First race was raced in the rain and Emma got first place. Second race was drier with a headwind and she earned a second and spent that race all on her own. She was thrilled to share some podium steps with her @nine13sportscyclingteam teammate! One more race to go today! by @emma.b.cycling

2022 Tour Of St. Louis Bicycle Races was the kick off to the road season! The weekend started off on Saturday AM with a Time Trail and then a quick turn around to the first criterium of the weekend. Emma had a PR for her time trail and had a fast race for the crit. The crit was at a park that had some hills and pretty quickly the field split up into a main peloton and a smaller chase group off the back along with several individual riders that fell off. Emma stayed in the main peloton for the entire race and had some great attacks and responded to attacks that were made. There was one crit on Sunday on a fast, flat course. Again, Emma stayed with the main peloton.

Her category was 3/4/5 and included beginner collegiate racers, and some of these young women are category 1/2 on the road already. They are fast and strong and a real look into what Emma will be competing with in her collegiate career Lindenwood University. Overall a really solid race weekend to start the season off with! #tourofstlouis2022 taken in St. Louis, Missouri by @emma.b.cycling

First cross race of the season took Emma to @ohiovalleycyclocross for Bloomingcross. The weather was great and the racing was fast. Doubled up today for the 15-18 race and in the U19 race. Emma got second place in her first race and in her overall wave. She got first place for her U19 race and 4th in her overall wave (since the podiums weren’t numbered, 4th and 5th got flip-flopped). Great racing today by everyone! Next up is the Brookside double header next weekend! taken in Karst Farm Park by @emma.b.cycling

Spent Sunday at NICA’s race #2 at Southwestway Park. It was hot and dusty but Emma was so happy to get back to her dirt roots! She took second in female varsity division. Thanks for the great race. Well organized and fun for everyone! 📸 @actionimagesindy and @m_barawskas taken in Southwest Way Park by @emma.b.cycling

Friday and Saturday were spent racing in downtown Indy for the Momentum Indy Crits. The weather was great and the races were fun. Emma had some solid results for her first two races and then jumped into the Pro 1/2/3/4 race at the end of that day on Saturday. It was challenging but a great experience to mix it up with some superb female riders. Here’s to the 2021 road season. Many thanks to everyone who cheered her on all season! taken in Indianapolis, Indiana by @emma.b.cycling

Spent the weekend in St Louis for Gateway Cup. There were some pretty big fields and Emma had some great starts off the line, meet some cute puppies, raced in some really neat neighborhoods, and each day had a better race which culminated in her best race result of the season in a mixed 3/4/5 criterium race field. taken in St. Louis, Missouri by @emma.b.cycling

This weekend wrapped up the track season with the Midwest Challenge that was held at the Indycycloplex. Emma raced Fri in a
Points race and a Kierin race. Saturday she raced in a 500m TT in which she snagged a PR, in an Elimination race where she placed 7th, and a Scratch race where she was consistently in the front of the group and made the break several times to the lead group. On Sunday she ended the season with a Flying 200m. Found the things that she does well and the things to work on over the winter and into the spring. Now it’s time to focus on the rest of the road and mountain bike seasons, and welcome the cyclocross season! Thanks to @johnthehoosier for the great pictures! taken in Indy Cycloplex - home of the Major Taylor Velodrome by @emma.b.cycling
