Whew. I’ve been dreading this post since before I even knew what TASC was and somehow that makes it mean even more now. Everyone always says it goes by so fast, but I didn’t realize it until I was already on the car ride home from my last conference looking back, like reading a book so good you don’t notice the pages turning until there aren’t any left.These past few years went by faster than I ever expected. One moment I was stepping into something new as a completely clueless sophomore and the next I’m walking out of conference realizing it’s already over. Today has left everything feeling a little different. Not in a bad way, just in a way that makes me realize how special it all really was.Some days it felt like a lot, like there was too much to do and not enough hours in the day, but I never once wanted to change it. I would do it all again exactly the same.I’ve loved every opportunity I’ve had to serve from service projects to workshops to speaking on stages. But more than anything, it was the people that made this experience what it was. I found people who think like me, care like me, and lead like me. I got to serve alongside 13 incredible leaders across my two years on executive board who made everything unforgettable. They will always be a big part of my story.And really that’s what makes this so hard to step away from. There is no next meeting, event, or conference already on the calendar. It is now just hoping our paths cross again in the future. But at the same time I know this is not really an ending, it is just the beginning of something different.And Mrs. B deserves a huge thank you. For always pushing me, believing in me, and helping me grow into a stronger version of myself. I am truly thankful for everything she has poured into me throughout this journey.The goal is 2030 with an alumni ribbon on my badge walking back into conference pushing students to be the best version of themselves just as I was pushed. Because even though this chapter is closing, what it has led me into is even better and for that I will be forever grateful. Thank you TASC. by @emma.harris07

⭐️EMMA HARRIS FOR CLASS OF 2026 PRESIDENT⭐️Wow. It’s genuinely so insane that this is here! Like all of my classmates- I want the best senior year possible. For the past few years I have strived to make our class the best it can be. And now, I want to continue that for this year and beyond. Now… why vote Emma?•Class shirts- I have thoughts about some things I want our class shirt to represent- but ultimately this is up to my peers. •Homecoming Float- This is one of the biggest things I want for this year! With our carnival school year theme, expect GREAT float ideas. If I am elected to the position- I will put together a float committee to represent all of the groups in our grade, so we can make this float AMAZING! Also, I have already blocked out my entire homecoming week for float building. This is with or without me getting elected to the title. I am dedicated.•Future Class Reunions- I have decided to apply to UT Southern and continue my education right here in Giles County. I then plan to stay here forever. I will be here as a central place for all of you whether you stay here or move far away! I know I can plan an epic reunion so let’s make it happen.Philippians 2:3–4 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Currently feeling beyond grateful for the life changing experience I had at LEAP Week! I cannot thank @tesawesa enough for selecting me to come! I’ve grown so much in my confidence, leadership, and purpose! I also got to meet some of the most inspiring people along the way! If you ever get the chance to go- TAKE IT! The past few days, I have had the amazing opportunity to attend @stucovision ! I truly had an amazing time representing Tennessee with some of my fellow executive board members and some other amazing people throughout the state. The connections I have made this weekend are worth more than anything else. I am so thankful I got to spend my weekend bettering myself and my bonds with others! Wow. I’m genuinely just in awe of what I have seen this weekend at TASC. I am so thankful to get the opportunity to serve as your TASC 2025-2026 VICE PRESIDENT. I already have plans to hear from you guys and cannot wait to tell you more! TASC means the absolute world to me and I’m so excited to contribute by serving you. While I am proud of myself for pulling this off, I have so many people to thank.
