Happy release day to @mipithelabel for her adorable design, the Stella Sun bag! I loved test knitting/crocheting this adorable summer bag. It also allowed me to learn some new skills by hand sewing and inserting a lining and zipper. Famke’s patterns are always well written and easy to follow so making this bag was a breeze!

Long time no post, but I’m back to share my 2025 make 9. This is my first time doing a make 9 and I certainly don’t intend to hold myself to it, but it was really fun to work through what I see myself making in the upcoming year. From top left to bottom right, here’s what I see myself making:

Traveler Hoodie by @dreareneeknits (I’ve already cast this one on! In ciao trunte by hjertegarn in a lovely purple color)

California Sweater by @knitcalifornia - I have some lovely silky sock yarn from @superglo.fiber and some pretty pink mohair from @weareknitters that is dying to become a California sweater

Tallulah Texture Cardigan by @mipithelabel - I need a good cardigan and this one looks delightful. Planning on frogging a sweater I have made of cotton merino and making this instead

California Sweater (again) - I want to make another California sweater, this one inspired by Leslie’s boucle California. I’ve cast this one on as well and am using @knit_picks bubbly boucle in ginger ale

Petal Drop Camisole by @handmade_by_florence - I’ve been dreaming about this camisole for so long so I’d really love to make it this summer. No yarn in mind yet!

Color Tip Tee by @emweecurt - saw @knittynatty make this and became totally obsessed. Another one that I don’t know what yarn I’ll use yet!

Tolsta Tank by @the.creabea - I definitely need one of these in a nice summer fiber. Maybe a scrappy one made of all my Coboo scraps!

I had the absolute pleasure of testing the Anita sweater for @vert.and.rose 🤍 this pattern is an all over charted lace pattern with a raglan construction and short row shaping, with sweet details like a romantic balloon sleeve and picot edgings. i used a merino/cotton blend to make this sweater a bit more az appropriate and wearable for me, because as much as i love soft and fluffy things, wearing them doesn’t always go so well 😅

Cast this on on Easter Sunday to have something smaller to work on while I was socializing but ever since I put it down I’ve been DREADING picking it up again, I really don’t know why I didn’t like it but I know it wasn’t bringing me joy, and having it on my needles at all was starting to cause me some stress, so back to stash she goes 😭 I know I’m gonna find something better suited for this yarn eventually

Yarn is twister solid from @hobbii_yarn I’m super excited to work with it, I know it’s gonna make a great summer top, this just was not the one

Really obsessed with the way my Walter sweater by @yumeijie.crochet is working up. This pattern is super neat, you create a swatch and then using your swatch measurements and body measurements, the pattern provides a calculator that lets you know how many stitches and rows you need. I’m quite a beginner crocheter and I’m finding it very approachable! I also LOVE the look book included with the pattern that shows you all the pattern testers and any modifications they made/what yarn they used, it was super helpful in visualizing what my completed sweater will look like.

I did swatch twice, once with a 6 mm crochet hook (swatch with green hook) and once with a 5 mm crochet hook (swatch with orange hook) but ended up liking the fabric with the 6 mm better

Yarn details: @redheartyarns roll with it melange in colorway “theater” and cewec dolce mohair/acrylic blend in colorway 227 from @hobbii_yarn
