Took a trip to Newark to seek out @thedragonsnookbookshop 📚 gorgeous little bookshop with the most enchanting interior 🖤✨ filled with books upstairs, I should’ve took more photos but got distracted 😂

Definitely feeling a little more like Spring recently!🪻new cushions have appeared & I want to go back for the berry red, I’m still an autumn girlie at heart!
Potted plants this weekend, it was National Flower Day & my Daughter bought yellow roses 🥹 had a lovely long walk at Willingham Woods too, cold but worth it to see the bikes!🌳

Happiness is one of your favourite stores opening in your hometown, Søestrene Grene’s now in Lincoln! Ventured in this weekend & treated myself to these lovely candlesticks..a few other bits fell in the basket too 🤭
Mother’s Day brought about gifts in my favourite wrapping & time with my girls 💞
My find of the week was a bargain F&M basket from Marketplace for £20👌🏻 nothing much else to report apart from I’m still cold, getting caught in the rain & look like a wilted flower daily 😂 happy new week!

Not sure where last week went but this weekend we were in Cardiff..after winning football (which was worth the cold 🥶) we stayed in the Copthorne Hotel, the dark furniture was lovely! Called to Barry Island on the way home to see some Gavin & Stacey spots ☺️ not much else happening other than I’m freezing cold & fed up of low cloud ☁️ here’s to finding the sunshine soon! ☀️

Hello to March 🌸 been another week of yuk weather but Sunday was productive! Laid a little path leading to the glasshouse & inside, found pine cones I’d lost & life is blooming! So much to do outside but nearly finished with the library painting, so excited to see it done. Spurred on by the sunshine..& the on to other jobs I started but never finished..anyone else in this mode at times 🤦🏻‍♀️

A weekend well spent! ☀️🌷🤍🌱 out in the fresh air..the garden’s a wreck but I made a start clearing & trimming back..flowers have appeared!
I’d like to hang fabric swags in the greenhouse this year from the roof inside & make something pretty of the space.
Had a long walk & made energy balls 😋 my favourite magazine had the cutest cover so that was a must 🦢

Well I enjoyed the 0.6 seconds of sunshine this weekend 😂 back to hat, scarf & mittens..so bored of grey skies & rain! But Week 7 of 52 brought some happy things ✨

1. A new rug in the kitchen ~ missed having something down to keep warm underfoot, matches the hallway, looks fabulous!
2. There’s always hope ☀️
3. Chris makes the most epic lasagne 😋
4. Saturday morning sunshine, felt charged for a few minutes!
5. But then back to candles & cosy, I love coffee & gold
6. Valentine’s, we never really celebrate it but this year was a surprise..M&S roses are my absolute favourite 🤩

To another week ahead, one more closer to Spring!

I swear I saw a glimmer of sunshine this weekend ~ ☀️ here’s a little Week 6 of 52 roundup of things that made me happy..wishing you a fabulous week ahead! xXx

1. Sleep pattern underway since I started taking Magnesium & it’s a joy to go to bed knowing I’ll drift ☁️
2. Trip to Waterstones ~ the Maple & Pecan bar was heavenly
3. Needed some new wellingtons for mooching around the garden preparing for Spring, Sainsbury’s specials! 🖤
4. Thriving laurels from all the rain, think I need to level them off soon but love them free growing instead of a solid hedge
5. Saturday morning in Starbucks with my eldest having a catch up, Cinnamon Bun’s 😋
6. The only plant I seem to keep alive are the umbrella kind, another new baby leaf x by @emma_eastbrook

Things that made me happy this Week 5 of 52! ✨
& happy February..to slighter lighter evenings & less frost!

1. A duster of beautiful ostrich feathers, I love the colours & makes the chore a bit of a nicer one 🪶
2. Treated my makeup bag, threw all my old makeup & tired brushes & keeping to less, more quality pieces in future
3. Saw snowdrops, always a delight 🌱
4. A baby hyacinth, I’ve moved her into another room with more light & can’t wait to see her grow 🪻
5. The most beautiful blue skies, felt so good to feel the sun even though the temperature was still baltic!
6. Our darling girl turned 21 🎈..they say it goes so fast when they’re born..& it really does, feels like yesterday🥹
7. Mia’s friend took a cutting from her own plant months before her birthday & grew Mia another plant so they’re related 😭
8. I indulged in the biggest piece of tiramisu & didn’t feel an ounce of regret! Hands down the best dessert, closely followed by black forest gateau 🍒😋

Week 4 of 52 roundup ✨

The last one of January hurrah!
I hope your first month of the year’s been kind to you 🦌

1. A gift at Christmas was this lovely horse, settled it on the fireplace for now
2. How I spent Saturday afternoon, love a new magazine & try very hard to limit my chocolate intake to a few squares 🤭
3. Ordered a huge Holland Cooper umbrella..perfect for when my girls forget their own so we have to huddle!
4. Ventured into the garden, a lot to do but looking to make the most of the glasshouse this year & make it pretty ✨
5. A Saturday night roast..pre-gravy 😋
6. Picked up this cute little hallway lamp from Tesco, a bargain for £18

Week 3 of 52 roundup ✨

A 2nd week settling into a new job, I no longer feel like running for the hills 😂 I’ve mastered the art of looking like I know what I’m doing when the brain fog hits 😶‍🌫️🤭 so this week ~

1. The Evergreen journal, doubt I will remember to write in it but I loved the colour for the side table
2. Clean porch tiles..scrubbed these like Cinderella this weekend, I need to do this job more often, specially in the winter!
3. & all the shoes & boots nearly tucked up in everyone’s drawer, they’ll all be out on the floor again in days
4. Completing entries daily in a new 5 year diary, love the idea of these to look back on, this one’s from @marthabrookldn
5. Sunrises have my full attention 🧡
6. Another frost..can’t wait to get back into the garden & see how things grow, our eucalyptus tree’s gone wild!
7. Developed a love of knitted dog jumpers from @joules
