SENIOR SPOTLIGHT 💫🎭🎓

Today we celebrate Emma Majewski (she/her). Originally from Swanton, Ohio.

Favorite Role: My favorite role would have to be Julia Sullivan in The Wedding Singer! She was such a lovable and playful girl that I truthfully never imagined I would play. The process for this show pushed me and challenged me in so many ways, but the payoff was SO beyond worth it in the end. I am also so glad we got to have this show as our final project as a class because it was the most fun ever and I could not have picked a better show to end with! It really was a dream <3

Favorite CAP21 Memory: It is basically impossible to pick one but something that really jumps out to me was the first time we realized that we were seniors! We had just finished our last demos of junior year and it was just a moment of realization that we were like... officially seniors! It really launched us into our last year which then became the best memories of all!

What does being an Artist mean to you?: Being an artist means so much to me. It is the fact that I have the ability to share my art and creativity with others who appreciate it on the same level that I do. It is something that brings me so much joy to participate in and I love being able to make people feel something or to feel changed from a performance. Existing in a creative space where everyone is loving and supporting the art form is just a feeling unlike any other.

composer ‘24 will forever hold such a special place in my heart. so grateful for these amazing people and creative minds that i get to spend my days with. really glad i got to belt my heart out with y’all :) and thank you Michael Friedman for being the incredible mind that you were. i’m so happy we got to keep your legacy alive. so much love <3

happy world theatre day ♥️ Rizzo had been a dream role for me ever since i determined what dream roles even were. so getting to play this incredibly strong woman last summer was just an absolute dream for me. this song was something that made me fall in love with theatre in the first place and i simply haven’t been the same since. i couldn’t imagine doing anything else with my life and if not for theatre, i wouldn’t have met the amazing people in my life nor be where i am today. it has taught me to be okay with mistakes and to be kinder to my artist heart. i am just so grateful for this amazing, messy, emotional, beautiful, art we get to create everyday <3 by @emma_majewski

a little late to the decision day posts but it’s alright because it’s worth it…
after an incredibly stressful and grueling process, i’m super excited and relieved to finally announce that i’ll be attending Molloy College/ the CAP21 Musical Theatre program and earning my BFA in New York City this Fall! I will also be the first class ever as they make the transition to be Molloy University! Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way and i can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!
