Throughout my swimming career I’ve faced countless ups and downs, but I never thought this is how it would end. The beginning of my freshman year I tore my ACL and meniscus and underwent two surgeries with the hope of returning to the sport. Ultimately, persistent pain has limited my ability to do this. So I have decided that it is best for me to prioritize my health and medically retire.

I am so grateful for all of the opportunities that swimming has given me, the lessons i have learned, and the amazing friendships I have made along the way. I am honored to be apart of the UNC swim & dive team even though my role looks very different now.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout my 15 year journey in this sport.
