Closing this chapter feels surreal. When I think back to the 11-year-old version of me wide-eyed, nervous, and falling in love with volleyball, I wish I could tell her how far she would go and how many people would help her grow along the way.

To my family: thank you for being my constant. For the rides to tournaments, the late-night talks after tough games, the cheering even when I didn’t feel like cheering for myself. You kept me grounded and lifted me higher every time I needed it.

To my coaches: thank you for believing in me, pushing me, and teaching me lessons I’ll carry long after the last whistle. You shaped not just the player I became, but the person I am today.

To my teammates and friends: thank you for being the soul of this journey. For the laughs, the tears, the long practices, the hotel room chaos, the wins and losses we survived together. You made this more than a sport, you made it a family.

It’s hard to say goodbye to something that built me but I know it’s time. I’m walking away proud, grateful, and forever changed.🫶🏼🫶🏼 by @emmaabecker__
