Last Senior Night and my last ever meet as a Bobcat 💙
I don’t even have the words to explain how grateful I am for this team, my coaches, and everyone who’s been part of this journey. This senior night felt a little different missing my partner in crime (and yes, the first photo answers everyone asking what I was holding during senior recognition 🫶), but the love and support never stopped. The time has come where I can no longer ignore posting. I can’t believe I have to udder the words it’s all really over. Cross Country is one of those things that sticks with you whether you want it to or not. I planned on running a year and being done but here I am four years later wishing I just had one more.
So to my girls team Skye, Marley, Jojo, Izzy, Emerson, and Summer thank you. For being a light in my life for being the reason I want to come to practice. For dramatic rants and glitter trash cans and most of all for being MY girls. I’ve never been prouder of you guys.
To my boys Parker, Dawson, Easton, Jacob, Brayden, Josiah, Parker Neff, and Sam thank you for making me laugh and never letting there be a dull moment. For becoming friends more than just teammates. For working hard and never quitting and for wearing glitter just to support us.
To my Coaches Todd, Phil, and Jenna thank you for making me push myself. Todd thank you for telling us about this team and encouraging Jojo to try. Thank you for showing up every day with a smile and thank you for telling me I can do it. Phil thank you for showing up this year. You don’t know how much the team needed you. Your energy and determination is unmatched, you push us past our limits and you show us so much love in the process. Jenna thank you for persuading me to try and for equipping me with the knowledge I needed to succeed. Thank you for taking such good care of me and setting the stage for what a good Coach looks like and thank you for loving us all so much. To my mom and dad thank you for driving the miles and volunteering a six hour long meets. For cheering the loudest and supporting me through all of it. Mom thank you for diving head first into the crazy with me. Dad thank you for passing down your wisdom and always being there to help. I thank you guys most for giving me my sisters my forever partners in crime and my built in best friends. by @emmabrown2008
