Things look a little different now.

Looking back, a part of me mourns for the girl in this pic. I didn’t even know who I was. Except that I was a lotta lost, a lotta hurt, and a lotta less confident. Felt like I was climbing a mountain that had multiple peaks and no end.

I’m still on the journey but I’m so happy to be standing at the top and in a place to sit and enjoy the view. To sit and look out and be grateful for the climb. Because that climb, made me. Everything was in my favor, everything was for my good.

I hope that whoever gets here and is in the thick of the climb, that you keep on keep’n on and keep striving to find yourself. Because it’s you, all along.

Here’s to a new year adventure, a collective journey of us finding our way back to ourselves. I’m rooting for you🫶

Anyways, I’ve been trying out a new mascara and I must say…🫶🫶. My little Asian lashes really don’t bother w mascara because what’s the point but they are truly loving this new lash experience with @clinique High Impact High-Fi Full Volume Mascara (!!!) I’ve also been loving the less is more look lately and this mascara is really the vibe lately 🖤

So my eyelash must haves for short / asian lashes:
-a mini eyelash curler (yes you need one)

It’s my moms birthday in Korea today (swipe for some sweet throwbacks). Here are 10 things I’ve learned from her:

1. Family first.
2. Our intuition is a superpower.
3. It is okay to cry.
4. Laughing heals
5. Change is possible
6. What a mother is + what a mother should be
7. God is with you.
8. Help others in need.
9. Unconditional love
10. Life is still beautiful.

I sit here in my 30’s, with a family of my own, 3 kids sitting next to me and I can’t help but feel this insanely overwhelming emotion and love for my mom. Our relationship hasn’t always been the best 100% of the time but when I look back, my mom has always been at the finish line waiting for me with open arms 100% of the time. She is the epitome of unconditional love, love that consistently tries, love that consistently stays. She fills up a lot of the spacey holes in my heart. I’m so grateful for my mom and everything she is. One day, I hope to be like her. Happy birthday mom, I love you always by @emmacristy

Stepping into my 2024 power like 💃✨
I’ve been feeling so grateful and renewed and ready to grow some more! I love setting intentions for the year. I noticed it helps me have a sense of direction and clarity on who I want to become. A few of my intentions for this year include:
• focusing on my HEALTH in all areas (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social)
• DISCIPLINE - I have limited myself because of a lack of discipline. I want to see where it takes me when I am disciplined enough to be consistent and reach my goals.
• CONNECTION: my family will always be my top goal. I really want to connect more with my family and continue learning and growing together. I also want to find a group of genuine friendships this year and be around people that are healthy for me. And connect with you all more!
• SELF LOVE ALWAYS in all ways. “I’m not afraid to be seen trying”, not being afraid to make and uphold my boundaries, and working on self compassion and continuing on my journey of self-love and self-worth.

Little sessions of ✨girl therapy✨ I’ve noticed when my battery level’s running low, best method to get me back on my feet are sessions of self care and doing things that I enjoy; working on myself, breathing in fresh air, family time, being girly, being a tomboy, being me.
