Katmai backcountry. Four days. More grizzlies than I could count and zero cell service - the cherry on top. 10/10, already planning the next trip. 🐻🩵 by @emmaexpedition

Plot twist: no Namibia trip this year.I know. I know.Turns out you can love a place and still cheat on it with bears, frogs, and questionable bird photography for a season. It happens. But these are from my last trip there, because apparently I still think about it more than most of my actual relationships. 2027 return is already being plotted. This is not a breakup, it’s a break. 🧡 by @emmaexpedition

Spent four days in the Katmai backcountry at bear camp and I’m already plotting how to get back. Any trip that starts with a float plane dropping you on a beach with no cell service and no way out until it comes back for you sounds like a good time to me. Watching coastal grizzlies work the sedge grass a few dozen yards away, completely indifferent to the fact that I was there, was something else. More from the trip soon. by @emmaexpedition

Every time I go back to #Namibia, it feels like flipping to a different chapter of the same wild book:🧡 Sossusvlei at sunrise — absolute silence except the sand shifting.⛰️ Spitzkoppe — granite playground for sunrise chasers.🦁 Etosha — elephants, lions, and more drama than Netflix.⛵️ Sandwich Harbour — dunes straight into the ocean (and the wind?? criminal).🌊 Swakopmund — salty hair, cold water, slow mornings.🐘 Damaraland — desert elephants and landscapes that don’t feel real. This country just hits different — and you could come experience it with me in July 2026.Check the pinned post for all the details. by @emmaexpedition

Lately I’ve been struggling with how to show up here. How to share beautiful things when the world feels heavy, when the news feels darker by the day.But I keep reminding myself - even in hard times, artists still make art.For those who are new here:I’m the daughter of immigrants. Everything I have - becoming a doctor, owning a home, traveling the world, sharing my photos - exists because of their sacrifices. Every image I post carries their story. So, even now:I’ll keep creating. Keep sharing beauty. Keep taking up space.Because making art - especially now - feels like its own quiet defiance. 🧡Also, 🖕🧊 by @emmaexpedition

Late to the January goal-setting club (because January already flew by), but wanted to share where my head and heart are at for the year. Leaning into exploration, creativity, and showing up in a way that feels more intentional and authentic. Thanks for being here. 🤍 by @emmaexpedition

Hey 2026.Starting the year with a few new frames from a recent Arizona road trip (aka home sweet home).I’ve spent the last few years using every chunk of time off to hop on a plane and chase far-off places - which I love - but this trip reminded me just how much magic lives right in my own backyard. From northern lights in Utah to winter storms rolling through Monument Valley, the desert showed up in the best way.Feeling very grateful for the Southwest and all the wild, quiet beauty it holds. Definitely making more time for it this year 🌵What’s on your 2026 travel list? by @emmaexpedition

That itch is back - wide open plains, dust in the air, and wild things everywhere.I finally traveled to Kenya last year and now I fully understand why people never stop talking about it. Absolute magic. Going through these photos has me seriously ready for round two 🌍 by @emmaexpedition

Namibia is the perfect playground to flex your creative muscles — deep orange dunes, minimal landscapes, and some of the wildest dirt roads you’ll ever see.I decided to pour a little extra creativity into the edit this time. A bit different than my usual, but a fun creative prompt for the day. Hope you enjoy ✨ by @emmaexpedition
