I visited @nlfthriftstore in Blue Ash / Sharonville for the first time, and it definitely won’t be the last!

This nonprofit thrift store offers a wide range of affordable finds — from clothing and home decor to furniture — all supporting @cincyfurniturebank’s mission to furnish homes for families transitioning out of crisis.

A week ago today we said goodbye to Rabbi Solomon T. Greenberg, a cornerstone of our family and of the Reform Jewish community of Cincinnati. As one of the first Rabbis in the country to officiate interfaith marriages, he built foundations of faith for over a thousand families in his career.

My grandfather gave a special blessing to me before my Bat Mitzvah and before my graduation from temple my senior year of high school. I’m so grateful that two of the biggest moments in my Jewish life will forever be marked by his benediction.

I have countless memories of Grandpa Sol singing silly songs, leading Passover Seder, telling an absolutely inappropriate joke for a Rabbi, and most of all just him being there for so many of life’s milestones.

Thank you Rabbi Sol for being my grandfather, thank you for cementing my faith and commitment to Judaism, thank you for building an outstanding family.

As we enter now into the month of May, Jewish American Heritage Month, it hurts even more. But Sol taught us to be proud of our history and stand tall as Jews.
May his memory forever be a blessing. Amen ✡️🕊️ by @emmaheines_

Episode 4 is here! Here’s the latest installment of my Thriting Cincy series. This time I’m at the Oakley Goodwill!

This location is in the heart of Oakley right around the corner from the warehouse my shop is in. Although some people say this store is always picked over, I believe if you go in with a mission you can find what you’re looking for!

This convenient location right next to Hyde Park and Norwood is usually busy so don’t be surprised if you have to wait for a parking spot, it’s worth it!

As an Oakley resident, you may catch me on the road dragging a lamp from this store back to my house LOL.

My shop is ✨consciously curated✨ which means I might search through an entire thrift store for hours and only leave with a few items.

I’m lucky to have a loyal client base who appreciates my skill to curate vintage clothing.

Thrift stores are NEVER short on inventory - in fact, they’re usually overflowing. It’s my full time job to dig through these packed stores and find you guys high quality, timeless pieces.

If you want to go right to the source and thrift for yourself, you should!
