Included a pic or vid from 9/9 of each rouge I went to, plus a few extra for shits and gigs. Im gonna try to express some of what this show means to me, most of it is emotional nonsensical ramblings. I love you until my dying day rouge <3

“… a place to belong, people to love and a woman…”
My place to belong- falling in love with the rouge was as easy as stepping into the front doors for the first time, there is no theater space I’ve ever been in that has energy quite like the rouge. The hirschfeld grew to be like a sanctuary with the comfort of home. Every time I was there my intense passion for theater made sense. My “too muchness” was celebrated. I never ever felt out of place at the rouge,. Just as Gavin Creel said I hope when I die I get to go back to the Al Hirschfeld one more time.
My people to love- god this cast, these creatives. I’ve been so blessed to see some of my greatest theater inspirations in this show and have found new ones along the way. Every time I saw this show I felt how delightful it should feel to be on stage, how living your dream is supposed to be fun, silly and imperfect. Oh right and Aaron…. I have been lucky enough to see Aaron in 3 shows now but there will never be anything as special as his Christian the composer, I truly don’t know how I’m ever supposed to let him go. My nature boy forever.
And my woman- @lily.thirza has been with me at 8/9 of my shows (she didn’t make it to London lol) and as much as I love this show I love what it’s done for our relationship even more. There is no one else I’d want to share these memories with, there is no one else who understands the emotions that I get from being in that theater and seeing that show. My real life Satine, experiencing this show for the past 3 years with you have been the best memories of my entire life. I love you forever as much as Christian loves Satine.
