So I finish my first year in my PhD program as a student that puts me at 50% of class completion. I ended the semester with a 4.0, cause as I few knew I was on academic probation. That was my first time ever experiencing that but I kinda felt like I needed to go thro that. It exposed parts of me I didn’t know existed. It showed me what real endurance, self doubt, and mental health really looked like. I pulled back the vail of lingering MDD and PTSD all While trying to still balance a lifestyle, I created as a safety net. Well that crumbled as well lol. But in the end I told myself “I can’t give up, it’s literally not an option” 🤣, but I’m here head above waters and I got all summer to study and prep.

What are the odds of a childhood friend and a adulthood friend meeting in public and resulting in a wedding. We celebrate till we couldn’t no more this weekend 💚. So three weeks ago class was in session for me as I became a PhD Student, which first started with the bridge program. So far the experience has been culture shock, but my mental is still in tact. So to say the lease I feel like no one could ever be really be prepared to become a doctoral student cause just when I thought I was in control my actual classes started and man it’s people everywhere. I keep getting lost. I drove the same street 6 times trying to figure out where I was 🤣. Today AgSTEP opened its first orchard 🎉 it was such an amazing feeling and the support that was able to come after we had to reschedule 😭
