I grew up with epilepsy, and it really sucked tbh ngl. But my experience wasn’t unique; I met a girl in 2019 named Zoe Wees who had suffered through the same thing. It plagued both of our childhoods, and through the mutual understanding of the disease, came the song ”Control”. That song changed my life. It was the catalyst that enabled this beautiful existence. I get to write songs every day - with people I’ve looked up to and admired since I can remember, with first timers and seasoned vets. I get to make music and live this extraordinary life, and it wouldn’t have been that way had I not gone through what I went through. It makes me believe that every single thing happens for a reason.
There are really too many people to thank who have influenced, inspired and supported me on this little journey… My mom for staying up with me all night before my EEG to get tested (swipe for baby Emma), and for caring for me so much while I was sick.. Dad, Nano, Patrick, Ricardo, René, Zoe, David, Jason, Katie, Big John, Mya, Adam, Ed, all my friends and everyone… the list is too long. It takes a fucking village..
