i may not have chosen type one diabetes, but i do choose how i respond to it.

maybe your “hard” looks different than mine.
maybe it’s a diagnosis.
maybe it’s mental health.
maybe it’s disappointment or loss.

whatever it is, don’t let it get the final word over who you are.

do what you can, & trust god with what you can’t.

today marks 19 years of living with type one diabetes. this is just part of what it looks like. no days off & never a day it goes unnoticed.

but today i’m reminded how god takes even the least expected parts of our story & uses them for good. nothing we face is a surprise to him. he knew type one diabetes would be a part of my story long before i did, and he continues to go before me in every detail.

i’ll keep praying for a cure, but until then, i’m trusting the one who’s been faithful every step of the way.

if you’re walking through something hard, know that god is already in it. he is working all things for your good, & he’s faithful in every detail of your story.🤍

Without a doubt, this is the most special thing I’ve ever seen at a ceremony. The bride, Emma, recorded herself speaking a message to her groom, Ben. A surprise I’ve truly never seen before.

Side note- Good Plans by @redrocksworship is such a beautiful song and perfect message to all couples on their wedding day; The Lord has good plans! 🙏🏼

this has been on my heart lately as our wedding day gets closer 🤍

wedding planning has been such a special season, but it’s also been full of moments that feel busy & overwhelming. in the middle of it all, god has been reminding me to slow down & stay present.

you may not be planning a wedding, but i hope this encourages you to pause, breathe, & rest in his presence.

the details will come together & this season will pass, but what truly matters is his presence.
