Cruise Ship Kid: Thief at Sea is such a fun, feel-good read and honestly one of the most enjoyable books I’ve picked up in ages. You’re instantly swept into life on board with Silver, who lives on a cruise ship (how cool is that?), and it’s impossible not to get caught up in the mystery and adventure.

The gang she meets along the way are brilliant, each bringing something different, but I have to say Tommy was my favourite, mainly because he calls everyone ‘duck’ all the time, which just made me smile every time he popped up.

What makes this one extra special are the little interactive bits sprinkled throughout. There are spaces to doodle and write, plus those classic ‘would you rather’ questions that children will love dipping into.

It’s engaging, playful, and so easy to recommend. Would you hop aboard and join Silver’s adventure at sea?

It's a year today since Cruise Ship Kid was published! It's been the most wonderful year, here are a few memories. Thank you to everyone who has bought a copy, told a child about the books and endured your Instagram being bombarded with Captain's hats. I'm so grateful to you.

The third book is out next year and other things are currently being written. 👀 I'm so excited for everything to come!

I'm off to Scarborough today for a Cruise Ship Kid event. A competition with @chocolatewisheschocolates is coming next week!! 👀 out for it!! (I've never used 👀 before and now I can't stop!! 👀🚢🌊) by @emmaswanauthor

Little People BIG DREAMS brought the party to @cheltfestivals with a singalong of the anthem, an art round from @laurelpettitt_ showing her brilliant illustrations of the upcoming Julia Donaldson book by @mariaisabelsanchezvegara and @quartokids. All emcee’d by the beautifully brilliant energetic @emmaswanauthor

We had 500 kids singing the Anthem at 10am on the Friday, and another few hundred the next day. It’s the next step on the journey of Little People BIG DREAMS The Album written by @tommyantonio and @domjamesmusic

What a FABULOUS morning interviewing the amazing @bonhughbon about his children's books the Rory Sparkes series! We had the best audience!! Hugh was so brilliant to talk to, made everyone laugh and had every child wanting to ask a question. Thank you for letting me interview you, being so fun and for holding up my books Cruise Ship Kid (so kind!) Grab yourself a copy of Rory Sparkes 1 or 2 for middle-grade adventures full of heart, humour, elephants and quite a bit of maple syrup... 🐘

Also a big thank you to @burylitfestival for having me and @harrisharrisbooks too! What a morning! taken in Bury St. Edmunds by @emmaswanauthor

What a fun morning! 🎉 Brilliantly chaired by Emma Swan, we enjoyed stories about the character Rory Sparks and Hugh’s acting career, plus a lively quiz.

One question had us all debating: honey on spaghetti, or Parmesan on ice cream? 🍝🍦
We’d love to know what you’d choose. Let us know in the comments!

Thank you @bonhughbon and @emmaswanauthor for such a fun morning.
