Looking back on a year at work, it’s flown past as always.

Sometimes I forget half of it if I don’t stop to scroll back.

Lots of travel, both sides of the Atlantic, witnessing some incredible events, both spectacular and tragic.

Looking forward to another year, who knows what the news agenda will serve up in 2026?

Pov you become a US reporter 🎤

Journalism is always an amazing career, but it’s particularly exciting to be covering America when there has been so much going on.

Had a little scroll back through my bursting camera roll today 📸

In just a few months I’ve travelled to twelve states, covered the Presidential election campaigns, the Oscars, Golden Globes, Grammys, a solar eclipse, and many other fascinating stories.

Doesn’t feel real sometimes, and the younger me would never have believed it.

Back at the skatepark with the board mums. Strongly recommend taking up hobbies when you really should know better. Very good for the soul.

Been sitting in for a few different presenters on the radio lately and I always think it’s a funny feeling taking over someone else’s show.

Like being given the keys to someone else’s car, except you’re also barging into their relationship with thousands of listeners, without quite knowing if they’ll like you!

But it’s been a lot of fun presenting different programmes and figuring out what works on air. Listeners certainly let you know pretty quickly on text if something isn’t quite right 🫣

That’s what I’ve been enjoying about radio though (after spending a lot of years standing front of telly cameras), it’s a proper two-way conversation, you never feel like you’re just broadcasting AT people.

And if all else fails just Jlaw knows what to do 😅✌️

Back on the 5Live phone-in today 🎙️ 🎧 Just setting a few ground rules first…
