I’m an entrepreneur who has lived in Amsterdam, Switzerland, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, and Paris, and started five businesses before most people have started one.

and across every single one of them, I kept running into the same wall. I was so busy promoting my business that I never had time to actually build it. content every day, outreach, follow ups, showing up for an algorithm that never showed up back.

There’s a video on my grid I poured my whole heart into. 117 views. And there’s one I basically copied from another creator that did 65k.

For a while that genuinely messed with me. Why bother making anything real if the lazy version wins?

But then I looked closer. The copied one brought in nothing. No enquiries, no dream clients, no actual business. Just a number that felt nice for an afternoon. The one I bled over? That’s the one that brings me the people I actually want to work with.

That’s the whole thing nobody tells you. Views are vanity. Voice is what converts. Someone buys from you because they feel you, your taste, your point of view, the weirdly specific way you see the world. A copied video can’t carry any of that, no matter how many views it racks up.

Nobody warns you that “just post every day” slowly turns you into the first picture. blood-soaked, wild-eyed, chainsaw in hand, absolutely feral, convinced the entire business dies the second you stop filming your breakfast for the algorithm.

I lived there for YEARS. genuinely thought that was just the job.

It’s not.

When a system does the finding, the qualifying, the nurturing... getting clients starts to feel like the second picture instead. weightless. graceful. almost annoyingly serene. like being lifted clean into the air while someone else does the heavy lifting and you just... enjoy it.

I don’t live in picture one anymore. and you couldn’t pay me to move back. 🤍

I got inspired by other women posting this “trend”

But as I was brainstorming my “recent flops”
Honestly nothing came to mind

I actually had to think pretty hard for things that had gone wrong recently

And what a crazy blessing that is.

These were the biggest flops I could think of and honestly most of them are still blessed experiences from which I’ve at least learned something.

The last one has been the most intense shift recently though.

With every business I build I always feel like I need to take on a specific persona for the success of the business.

But that also meant letting go of specific parts of myself…

And only recently have I decided to fully show up as my most authentic self.
