🚨 Reinstall time! We’re putting @touchedbymysty Glue back to the test… but this time we’re changing the method. 👀

✨ No alcohol skin prep
✨ Wig tape for extra security
✨ Same technique that got me 4 days with Ericka J’s Sport Glue

Last time, Touched by mysty held me down for 3 days without wig tape. So the question is… can this method push it to 7 days? 🤔

At this point, I’m realizing it’s not always about finding the “strongest” glue… it’s about finding the right technique for oily skin. Let’s see if this combo finally cracks the code. 💕

Day 4 update! 💕 I usually remove my installs after Day 3 because once my scalp starts itching, it’s time for a fresh install. But I wanted to show y’all how it’s still holding up before I took it off. At this point, I’ve realized something… for my oily skin girls, it’s becoming less about which glue you use and more about your technique. Thin layers, proper skin prep, wig tape, patience between layers, and the right maintenance have made the biggest difference for me. I’m not saying every glue works the same, but I’m proving that technique can completely change your results. 💯 We’re gonna keep testing different glues and methods until we find what works best for oily skin, so stay tuned. Day 3 Update 👀🔥

30-minute shower, Still holding! Only one side lifted a tiny bit, but honestly… I think we’re getting somewhere for us oily skin girls. 🙌🏽
Here’s everything I changed this time:

✨ Erica J Skin Protectant (for skin prep)
✨ No alcohol at all for skin prep
✨ Erica J Sport Glue
✨ Wig tape for extra security (this has made one of the biggest differences!)
✨ @shopanior Melting Spray
✨ HD Wig Cap
✨ Ebin Spray ONLY for my wig cap and styling the hair (NOT on the lace or skin)
✨ Ruby Kisses foundation for the wig cap and lace
✨ Bold Hold Liquid Gold for my edges
✨ Fantasia Spray + Wax Stick to mold the hair
✨ Wax strips while melting the lace to help absorb oil

A few things I think also helped:
•Kept my room under 60°F so I wasn’t sweating during my install.
•Took my time and made sure every layer was completely dry before applying the next.
•Used a thinner HD wig cap for a flatter, more seamless melt.

I’m still testing everything, but so far this routine has been giving me the best results with Erica J’s Sport Glue. I’ll keep updating y’all every day because I know my oily skin girls want the real results. 🤍🫶🏽

We might’ve finally cracked the code for the oily skin girls. 👀💦
Round 3 with the Erica J glue, but this time I switched up my entire prep. I skipped the alcohol skin prep, cut back on the alcohol-heavy sprays (Got2b & Ebin), and added wig tape for a little extra security. Then I sat in a HOT shower for 30 minutes… and she’s STILL holding. 😭👏

I’m not saying this is the only way, but if you have oily skin like me, changing your prep might make a bigger difference than you think. I’m documenting every test until I find the best long-lasting method, so y’all don’t have to. 💕
