SPACE AND PLACE

My first university project. For this I focused on how a space can be somewhere geographical and how a place can be somewhere sentimental. For this I found old photos of me and @tobyjtravels when we hiked a mountain.

I then went back and photographed the same mountain but with him not there. With these photos I compared how even a simple hike can be so much better with a person (the coloured photos) and can be so much lonelier by yourself (B and W photos) .

To emphasise this i photographed swans in the local park. Swans are seen as monogamous as they generally have a mate for life and stick by eachother until they die- a sentiment that represents my photos and metaphorically pictures a relationship.

My L4 final exhibition photos ⛰️
Thank you to all my models that helped this project!!

‘Outdoor Journeys’
I wanted to explore how there are different levels to the outdoors and how people experience them. For example you have hikers and climbers who go through extreme sports/conditions to then light walkers. Despite a change in environment, they all have one thing in common which is their love for the outdoors
