Last Friday we hosted our monthly quiz night! Here’s a little of what we got up to… ⏰🪩 Do you think that you could beat the quizmaster? 🤔

So, nearly 4 months ago, @lionhenry86 asked me if I fancied playing padel.

I was reluctant. I generally don’t like jumping on the hype train… and when I say that, I mean I still haven’t watched the last season of Stranger Things. I’ll get around to it in my own time, thanks. 😂

Anyway, fast forward 4 months and I’m now officially an addict! 🎾

I asked @flynnz.2real to make me a little video of my best bits, and it only cost me FC27. I’m not entirely sure who’s robbing who here, and I’m also not entirely sure whether he’s subtly calling me a scrub… 😂

The thing I love most about padel is that you can always pick up a game. You don’t have to rely on your mates being available. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love playing with my people, but getting three other people to commit to the same day and time can be a challenge, especially when you throw kids, kids’ clubs, the wife, work, and D-O-Gs into the equation. 🐶

Luckily, I found a great club @connectpadel_birmingham . The people there are friendly, welcoming and just generally a great bunch. It’s made getting into the sport even more enjoyable.

With work starting to pick up, it’s time to put the racket down until January. I might sneak in the odd game while I’m on the road, but for now, it’s grafting time. 💪

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my highlights as much as I did making them! 🎾😂. #over40spadel #anyonecancatchthesehands by @emmon81

And just like that the season is over…… unbeaten in the league, P18 W14 D4 L0! To say I’m proud is an understatement. I’m happy for everyone involved. Big thanks to @benhomer_1 and Scot for all their hardwork over the years. Big shout out to all the parents that make time to bring your kids to matches and training! But most of all, big up all the KIDS……you more than deserve it. ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️#CHAMPIONS by @emmon81
