It has been an absolute pleasure and an honor to work on Priscy and Juma’s Traditional Wedding.

From the moment we were entrusted with this event four months ago, we knew we had a special journey ahead. Collaborating with the family has been a truly enriching experience, and we’re grateful for the trust they placed in 2706 Events.

PART II — LEGACY

Five years on, we remember, honour and celebrate the enduring legacy of

CAPTAIN IDAHOSA WELLS OKUNBO
1958 — 2021

To understand Captain Hosa, one must begin with scale.

At just twenty-five, he earned the highest licence attainable by a commercial pilot, going on to log an extraordinary 7,500 hours in the air.

From the cockpit, he moved into building and shaping businesses across the systems a nation depends on — aviation, maritime, security, oil & gas, power, agriculture, hospitality and real estate.

Again and again, he ventured into industries where Nigerians had rarely built at scale, leaving his mark across steel, soil and infrastructure.

But the public record tells only part of the story.

Beyond the businesses, the milestones and the achievements was a man guided by a code, A code that lives on in his family to this day:

The only way is through hard work.
No work, no chop.

Keep your word.
Carry your people.
Give quietly.
Fear God.

Five years later, his work continues to speak.
His values continue to guide.
And his legacy continues to live.
