Came to watch SEC football. Ended up judging an across-the-floor combination.

Good energy. Nice use of space. Questionable turnout. Missing grapevines. Needs work on transitions. More resistance in the arms. Love to see a little more extension, but nice connection between the athletes. More layers would really elevate the piece. Be mindful of your facials. Love your commitment to the movement.

Beat Bama? Grapevines forgiven. High Platinum Diamond Plus.

This semester, I had the opportunity to walk alongside Jovie as she began preparing for the college dance recruitment process for ‘26. From building her intro video and organizing academic eligibility, to connecting with current coaches and choreographers over Zoom—we focused on what would make this journey intentional and true to her.

As an educator with a background in both dance and admissions, and someone who’s been on the performance side—from cheering in college to dancing professionally with Norwegian Cruise Line—it’s been really rewarding to help bridge the gap between artistry and logistics.

This process wasn’t about checking boxes—it was about thoughtful guidance, collaboration, and creating clarity for what’s next.

The journey is hers. I just feel lucky to be part of it. 🤍

It’s hard to believe this incredible journey has only been six months so far! In such a short time, these 12 amazing ladies have faced a new coach, high expectations, and challenging choreography from the greatest @kristin.daniel.choreo and they’ve met it all head-on with resilience, grace, and heart.

Today, we placed third out of nine groups, and while the placement is exciting, what truly stands out is how far we’ve come as a team. Six months ago, we were just beginning to figure each other out, and now we’ve grown into something special—something stronger together.

I couldn’t be prouder of these young women. They’ve inspired me to be a better coach, and a better human. Whether I’m their new dance mom or just the cool aunt (I’ll let them decide), I’m beyond grateful to be on this journey with them.

A HUGE THANK YOU to @sydneyelam - @natalie.adkins3 - @mdbriggam - @lilymiller19 for pouring so much into this team and adding countless layers to their growth and development. Your dedication, expertise, and encouragement have made such a difference. It’s been amazing to show this team the power of collaboration and what it means to truly support and lift up others.

Thank you, ladies, for showing what’s possible with hard work, heart, and belief in each other. Here’s to everything we’ve accomplished—and everything yet to come! 💙 taken in Hardin Valley Acadamy by @emmyarcher
