Over the last few weeks I’ve felt the effect of the community I’ve built for myself here in San Francisco. Moments when hanging out with one friend I run into another. Where I’m able to show visiting friends the sights, and treat them to views others haven’t told them about.
My dance card is filling up. My sense of community is growing and every day I’m thankful for the people who have helped me call this lovely city home.

Last night I had a thought riding down Hawk Hill after a cold sunset “oh my god— I live here.” I haven’t had that thought in a while. I’ve been focused on other things. Focusing on growing roots that one day might rival Atlanta. Focusing on being there for myself and for the people I love near and far. I still miss my Atlanta people deeply. I still wish I could pick them up and drop them here settled and housed with jobs that they love.

But I live here, and I love it here. I’m proud of what I have built in San Francisco with the help of so many. I’m excited for more. I’m here for all the love that I can stand.

Only pic I took on my DNF #marinmountains200k

My AXS battery went from >95% charged to <25% charged in less than three hours riding. Not wanting to get stuck single speeding I bailed and rode back to SF. Skill issue. Bring a spare battery next time. It’s a shame too. I was on great pace. taken in Bon Tempe Lake by @emor_e

All day Diablo Worship. 54mi 10,500ft of climbing. Just under 7hr including stopped time. This is genuinely the toughest day I’ve had on the bike since Fried Clay by @emor_e
