This #whykappawednesday let’s hear from Abby Henry (MC ‘25) on why she chose to join Kappa: I joined Kappa because I immediately felt a connection with all the girls I spoke to and could see how much kindness and positivity they radiated, even throughout recruitment and all its stress. I knew I wanted to find a sisterhood that felt genuine and welcoming, and from the moment I joined, Kappa has given me exactly that. Because of Kappa, I’ve met my absolute best friends and made some of my favorite memories at Emory. From living in the lodge and going on group trips to our fam dinners and all the little moments in between, there is truly nothing that means more to me. I’m so beyond grateful that I found my home in Kappa and for every person who has made it so special. I truly can’t imagine my life at Emory without it!

A kiss to Kappa from our beautiful Sarah Nixon (MC ‘26):
I chose Kappa Kappa Gamma because I wanted to find a space at Emory where I was surrounded by people who uplift one another and express themselves authentically. Like many college freshman, I was unsure what joining a sorority would look like and hesitated to commit to the process. Throughout recruitment, though, I found myself more and more drawn to the energy and values kappa held and maintained throughout second semester. I feel so lucky to have found a community of people who not only motivate each other to stay up all night studying but also make each other die laughing and find the fun on campus 🙌🙌. Kappas understand the work hard play hard balance and lead with kindness and curiosity, which are two traits that I strive to maintain. As we move rapidly through the summer I can’t help but get excited for what new memories will come with next semester living in the lodges! by @emorykappa
