The BIG Day: Ethereal Ivory

For the wedding day, the weekend transformed once more. After two evenings rich with color and atmosphere, everything softened into a world of ivory, texture, and light.

Sculptural florals, layers of ivory textiles, reflective surfaces, and warm candlelight created dimension without relying on color. Matte against sheen, silk against stone, softness against architectural form—the beauty was in the restraint and in the details.

The stationery followed suit. Rather than competing for attention, each piece became part of the environment itself—quietly refined, textural, and intentional. Elements first introduced in the invitation suite returned throughout the day, bringing the story full circle from the guests’ very first impression to the wedding itself.

Three days, three entirely different worlds, all unmistakably part of the same celebration.

Night Two: Rien Ne Va Plus. Atmospheric. Gilded. Cinematic.

For the welcome party, the mood shifted entirely. Inspired by the allure of Monte Carlo after dark, guests stepped into an intimate world of deep ruby hues, velvet textures, gilded details, and low golden light.

This wasn’t a casino-themed party, it was the *feeling* of one. Cinematic and indulgent, with the quiet confidence of old-world gaming rooms, whispered bets, champagne coupes, and conversations that linger late into the night.

For the stationery, we embraced that same sense of intrigue. Rich, atmospheric details, designed to feel sophisticated rather than literal. This included custom-designed chips and play money, adding a playful yet refined layer to the guest experience. A completely different identity from the night before, while still carrying threads of the couple’s visual story throughout the weekend.

Night One: La Nuit Tropicale.

The weekend began with a rehearsal dinner inspired by Havana after dark. An intimate, atmospheric evening that welcomed guests into the celebration with a little heat and a lot of soul.

Deep tropical greens met warm terracottas, burnished woods, and metallic accents. Lush foliage and layers of texture brought the tropics in without feeling too literal, while low candlelight gave everything that sultry, after-dark glow.

For the stationery, we leaned into that same feeling of old-world tropics and sultry patina, carrying the palm motif from their rehearsal dinner invitation into the evening’s details to create a subtle thread between the invitation and the experience itself. The result felt worldly, tactile, and just a little unexpected—a warm, spirited opening act for the weekend ahead.

One wedding weekend. Three days. Three completely different experiences.
Designing day-of stationery for a full wedding weekend means thinking beyond each individual piece. For this celebration, every event had its own distinct personality, and our job was to create a stationery story that could evolve with each setting while still feeling thoughtfully connected.
While the mood, colors, materials, and details shifted from one event to the next, we borrowed subtle elements from the invitation suite throughout, creating a visual thread that tied the entire weekend together without making every event feel the same.
From typography and illustrations to shapes, textures, and unexpected details, we approached each day as its own little world—considering not only how everything would look, but how guests would interact with and experience it.
Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing each event and all the details that brought its unique atmosphere to life. Three days, three moods, one cohesive wedding weekend.

We began Melody & Oliver’s wedding weekend with an intimate Havana Chic rehearsal dinner at the St. Regis Bal Harbour, designed as a tribute to the groom’s Cuban roots and a celebration of the family and friends who traveled from near and far to be part of their special weekend.

The evening came to life with a traditional Cuban trio, vibrant details inspired by Old Havana, and a custom hat bar where guests personalized their own hats to take home as a memorable keepsake.

A night filled with music, culture, and meaningful connections—setting the tone for a beautiful weekend ahead.

For H + D’s invitation suite, we let texture lead the story. A soft neutral palette created the perfect canvas for layers of meaningful detail inspired by their wedding day.

As guests opened the suite, they were first greeted by a sculpted embossed intaglio of their iconic venue, San Francisco City Hall. Inside, a textural envelope liner drew inspiration from the ceiling of the grand dome above both their ceremony and reception, while the flowers embossed on the invitation was thoughtfully chosen as a nod to the bride’s bouquet.

Every layer was designed to feel intentional—offering guests a timeless and tactile first glimpse into the celebration to come.

Spring has a way of shifting everything. The pace picks up, the colors return, and the work starts to feel especially alive.

This piece began as a floral design by @empaper.co and came through our hands as a fabrication project. Laser cut acrylic, UV printed, and a precision fit base, each detail built to hold the integrity of the original vision.

We collaborate closely with designers to take what exists on screen and translate it into something physical. Material, scale, finish, and structure all considered with intention.

It’s a different role, but one we take seriously. Because when a designer trusts us with their work, the standard is already set.

And pieces like this are exactly why we love it.
