Poster designed for @chinatownbasketballclub 's film screening this Sunday "Basketball as Ritual in Video and Film" right after spending a losar new year month upstate at KTD in a period with emergent resetting, renewing, learning to sit with uncertainties and gaining clarity in actions. Rituals as in a long waited new sleeping schedule of waking up at 5am, embracing sunrise as we chanted to raise bodhicitta - what do all these words: bodhicitta, compassion, wisdom, emptiness, the intrinsic nature of reality mean embodied and in motion? Rituals as in eating, serving, receiving, circulating, creating rhythms in exchange. Similar in playing basketball with a rhythm you have established with the bouncing ball in your hands and moving with constantly shifting rhythm in offense and defense. Rituals in knowing we're playing a game and we try to play a good game. Rituals in appreciating KTD, CBC, friends, work, films and appreciating everything everyday. To rituals and rhythms. by @empjoyonline

Video clips from the visual esaay/ performance reading process sharing last weekend @theatermitu

💭to my fuzzy mental scapes around moons, longings, karma and nonlinearity of time, technology and bubble, relativity of micro and macro worlds

Had a lot of fun mixing 3D and AI, mostly made with midjourney, nanobanana, kling and veo in @florafaunaai

process photo dump for the process sharing happening this fri&sat 7:30pm at @theatermitu as part of hybrid arts lab fellowship!!! Along with @hillarywgao @katsoteloh showing their pieces💞

I've been cooking new work & experiments titlling: 🌜The Moon is the Future Screen🌛really digging into my brain fusing visual essay&performance reading&movement&research &projection mapping&surprises^^ I'm using a mix of ai, 3d, ae, frame by frame animation for image/video making, and kinect, mic, plants, screens, body to cook the soup together, some parts I really enjoy, some still look fuzzy but that's ok! It's going to be a demo/wip sharing and conversations with yummy food and good vibes!! I'd love to share, catch up, connect! esp if you are into performance&technology, spirituality and art, which is prob basically everything. Life is such an incredible theater.

use code MITUFriend for $10 tickets, delicious meals and beverages included, rsvp link in bio𓀥𓀥𓀥 taken in Theater Mitu by @empjoyonline

New interview is out on UAAD stories!ྀ
Didn't expect the interview process to be such a insightful and emotional journey reflecting on practices and old times. It encompasses my projects exploring art and tech through performances, design and curation over the years, including collaborations with many dear friends. from beijing, shanghai to new york and it feels like a new beginning at this point to converge many seeds I've planted across different time and space. Just recently, I feel they are growing in the same air, taking roots and sprouting.

Thanks UAAD&Amy for the thoughtful questions and support!♡
