One of the greatest gifts of yoga is learning how to work with your mind in real time.
You notice your thoughts racing, your to-do list calling, and your attention drifting. Then you gently bring yourself back to the breath.
“Be here now. We are breathing. We are here.”
With regular practice, we learn to pause, observe, and respond with greater clarity. The things we once put off may become easier to approach as we build patience, discipline, and awareness.
Our time on the mat becomes a moving meditation—a personal journey experienced in a collective space.

🌿🧘🏾‍♀️ A Morning of Wellness, Deep Stretching & Beautiful Connections! ✨💚
This morning at 9 AM, we attended an amazing Yin Yoga class at the Passport Project at Buckeye Roots Collab, located at 12801 Buckeye Road in Cleveland, Ohio.
What a beautiful experience! We enjoyed a deep Yin Yoga session led by an incredible yogi who made sure everyone felt comfortable, safe, welcomed, and free to express their own unique yoga style throughout the class. There was space for everyone to move at their own pace, honor their body, and enjoy the experience in a way that felt right for them. That kind of welcoming energy makes all the difference! 🙏🏾🌱
We left feeling rejuvenated, grounded, and refreshed after deep stretches, intentional breathing, good vibes, and new connections. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of slowing down, listening to our bodies, and making time to nurture our mind, body, and spirit.
There is something special about coming together in community, where wellness meets connection and everyone is encouraged to show up as their authentic self.
We’ll definitely be back! 💚 Thank you to the Passport Project, Buckeye Roots Collab, and our amazing yoga instructor for creating such a welcoming space to breathe, stretch, connect, and pour back into ourselves.

Walking MLK — Coming Home With New Eyes

Today I walked MLK and reflected on the different aspects of being home that have become nostalgic for me.

After living in the South for so long, I’m reacclimating myself to Cleveland—the way the fall changes so quickly here, the familiar landscapes, the people, the energy, and the things I had forgotten I missed.

After 18 years away, coming home has given me a different vantage point. I’m learning to love my community in a deeper way—as a Rasta woman who believes in what living in community can bring to all of us, not just someday, but today.

I thought about my time living outside while waiting for my apartment to be ready. That experience taught me so much about the undercurrents of my city. It allowed me to see things from another level—to notice spaces, people, needs, resources, and possibilities, and to ask myself:

Where can I actually contribute?

I also think about the friends who held me and protected me through this transition. The ones who showed up, offered support, created space, and helped me find my footing again. I am eternally grateful for you. Sometimes God’s protection comes through people. Sometimes the answer to a prayer has a name, a face, a helping hand, or simply someone willing to stand beside you.

Today I revisited a green space that once offered me solitude, peace, and hope. To return to that same space now, knowing I have a safe home to return to, brought a whole different kind of gratitude.

That is God’s glory.

There is something mystical about following that which you cannot see, while learning to see beyond what is immediately in front of you.

“Walk by faith, not by sight.”

Those words have a depth for me now that they didn’t have before. They aren’t just words or scripture I can quote. They are something I have lived.

And that is what I hope inspires you all—to trust the unseen, recognize the guidance along the journey, and have faith even when you cannot yet see the whole path.

I love you, Jah Jah. I am grateful for Infinite Itection Itinually.

I am home in Cleveland. 🌳💚

Born here, and proud of it.

I love discovering and sharing the places around Cleveland that remind me of these ancient, green-filled spaces that have been part of this city for generations.

Today I spent some time around the Jesse Owens Olympic Oak Plaza, taking in the trees, the water, and the beauty of the landscape.

But as I looked around, I started thinking about the Cleveland that came before us.

The water and green spaces around Wade Park and Rockefeller Park have a much older story. There was a time when people came here to enjoy the lagoon, and row boats. Historical photographs show this landscape more than a century ago, with row boats moving across the water and people gathering among the trees.

Today, the landscape has transformed. But the charm remains.

The trees are still here.
The water still carries a story.
And Cleveland continues to grow around these living pieces of history.

Now we have the Jesse Owens Olympic Oak Plaza, another chapter in that story, with an space connected to the legacy of one of Cleveland’s greatest sons.

I love being able to stand in a place today and imagine what it looked like generations ago.

Cleveland then. Cleveland now.

Today I shared my nature walk and the beautiful landscape of Cleveland. I spoke to the trees and showed some love to the bush I passed along the way, covered in beautiful white flowers. I didn’t know the names or breeds of the plants, but that didn’t take away from their beauty.

I simply enjoyed the Most High, the beauty of nature, and the love that surrounds us through creation. I even had lunch outside in the grass by mi self…absolute niceness
