Want a tablescape with more dimension? Start with the foundation, then build from there.

1. Start with your base
Think wooden tables, chairs, solid or patterned linens, and other foundational elements that set the tone.

2. Layer your dinnerware
Add dimension with a charger, dinner plate, salad plate, and bread & butter plate.

3. Bring in the essentials
Complete the place setting with thoughtfully chosen flatware and glassware. These elements should correspond to what's on the menu.

4. Finish with the details
This is where the personality comes in — centerpieces, place cards, menus, napkins, napkin rings, and all the little touches that bring it together.

The key? Layer, layer, layer. Thoughtful details are what take a tablescape from simple to an unforgettable experience. by @emprulou
