Download ![[LIVE REPORT] SHORES OF NULL & EMPTY MIRROR live Black @templeathens (16/10/2026).
Darkness Descends Upon Gazi
Friday night found us on Iakchou Street, where Black Temple was gearing up to host one of the most atmospheric nights of the autumn. Gothic doom and melodic death metal tones took center stage. The crowd began gathering early, eagerly anticipating the grand return of the Italians, as well as a powerful opening act.
The Opening Act: @empty.mirror.band
The doors opened at 21:15 (45 minutes delay) later the local favorites Empty Mirror took the stage. With their signature heavy gothic/doom style, they provided the ultimate introduction for what was to follow, warming up the venue perfectly.
The Headliners: @shoresofnull
The lights dimmed, and Shores of Null stepped onto the Temple stage to roaring applause! The Italian masters of melancholic dark metal arrived "armed" with their brand-new album, "Homesick", which officially dropped on the very day of the live show!
The seamless transition between Davide Straccione's captivating growls and the polyphonic clean melodies filled the room with a unique, heavy atmosphere. Combining the crushing doom energy of tracks from The Loss of Beauty and older releases with the fresh riffs of Homesick, they delivered a truly experiential setlist.
Highlights of the Night: A mesmerizing performance of "Two Mountains" that sent chills through the venue.
Epilogue
Shores of Null proved exactly why they are considered one of the most consistent and high-quality forces in European dark/doom metal. It was a night packed with emotion, razor-sharp riffs, and non-stop headbanging. Those who missed it, simply lost out!
