a little theme i’ve never written, always played differently: “Tema: Marmara Variation” here, i’m using”Ttema” to exercise 2 very new-to-me musical pedals, each beautiful, fresh and inspiring to play dynamically: 1) @ashevillemusictools Purple Phase+. 2) the @emptyheadeffects Seafarer Reverb. i love these! most of the saturation & distortion here is achieved by The Seafarer reverb, always on. but that’s def enhanced by Purple Phase +’s drive ctrl when i engage the Phaser. hope you enjoy, share if that suits ya, more of this pair coming. sooooo enjoyable to explore and play! yes, still answering questions i understand. by @emptyheadeffects

The @emptyheadeffects Seafarer is a nautical reverb that has quite a lot to offer! Random pitch modulation for lapping waves, a water-logged tremolo and an LFO-driven low pass filter which can get pretty stormy. Some more oxygen for the gnarlyness und endless tails with the feedback switch! This is truly something different for creating ambient textures and drones. • @emptyheadeffects | Seafarer A long tailed, waterlogged reverb that doesn’t sit still. Random pitch laps like waves against a hull… random tremolo sloshes in and out like half submerged ears. A drifting lowpass filter darkens the tail from bright spray to black water, while soft diode grit thickens the wash. REVERB PEDAL. SEAFARER by @emptyheadeffects is a reverb pedal that pulls extra duties as a drive, a lowpass filter, a chorus, and a hole puncher. It’ll also make you sound like a foghorn echoing out over choppy seas. Here we are going for bigness – this is how we’re doing it: 1. A hefty dose of OCEAN SIZE – this controls the size of your reverb. It goes from just beyond the tip of your nose, to all the way out to the eastern coastline of Djibouti. NOTE: SEAFARER is the kind of reverb pedal with 9 knobs and only one controls the reverb – that amuses me to no end. 2. Crank up WATER-LOGGED – this randomly drops out the volume of your audio. Go all the way to maximum and your sound is completely extinguished for a fraction of a second – DISINTERGRATION controls how often this happens. Why do this? Because pretty sounds are boring and I need to drag out the sandpaper from time to time. BONUS: You could also add in a little modulating chorus from MEDUSEN for a little more width. Next time. Seafarer available for Pre-Order on the Webshop Next run early next week on 15/09/2026 Here we are preparing packaging materials for this current run and stamping them with our home made ink stamps that we love to use on everything so much. We package all our pedals in only paper and cardboard. The only plastic packing materials used are small strips of foam that is not just recycled but in fact reused from materials we once received. Mother Earth is simply greater than us, so let's have a little respect, yeah? Massive thank you to everyone that's pre-ordered already. There's not so many from this run left and a few retail orders to go too so don't hang around if you were hoping to pick one up from this run.
