“We could share a drink some night, if you're curious. A nice red wine in your goblet, of course.” – Astarion 🍷🩸

Today I’m sharing the last photos from the @jenaco_con #cosinthecastle set from last autumn together with @ems.maps.n.stuff as Shadowheart. 🖤✨ I think we made the most out of the Tethyrian Vintage Wine prop, and since it was up to me to empty the glasses, the shoot got funnier with every set 😁🍷

Actually, it was a bit of a challenge to pour the wine while looking at each other 😅

Thank you again to Marc @rothephoto85 for this spontaneous shoot. I absolutely love the results and the beautiful autumn colours 🍂🍁✨

"It's wine, darling. I swear." — Astarion 🍷

More pictures from our #cosinthecastle shoot with @rothephoto85 📸

Poring the wine without looking was a challenge, but Marc caught the perfect moment. 👏😊

Shadowheart: “Do vampires actually drink blood out of goblets like in the storybooks? Doesn’t seem very fresh.”
Astarion: “Straight from the neck is preferred, but goblets are used in mortal company. They save on awkwardness.” 🩸🍷

Last autumn @ems.maps.n.stuff and I attended the #cosinthecastle event by @jenaco_con to shoot some Shadowheart and Astarion pictures of each other — and we’re so thankful that @rothephoto85 also captured some stunning shots of us together. 📸✨

We love how these turned out and had a lot of fun during this shoot. Maybe I was drinking a little too much though… someone had to empty the props, after all. 🧛‍♂️🍷😏

More of these amazing photos coming soon!

Tauriel.

Another set of pictures that have been waiting to be posted for way too long. And then I saw @cosplay_deutschland calling out middle earth cosplayers to honor Tolkiens birthday today, so I thought this was the sign to finally do it (even though this is not a Tolkien character, I know!).

A toast to 2025

The year is about to end, and what a special one it has been!
I missed a lot of what was happening in the world (did I only hear about the new pope a week ago? Nah...) and couldn't be very active on a creative level, but for the best reason possible. I truly can't believe that it is almost a year since my little girl joined our family and she is about to start walking on her own. I feel fulfilled like I haven't before in my life.
But I still miss my creative outlets a lot, and I hope that I will be able to do some map making and cosplay stuff next year. And I look forward to one day sharing my passion with her.

But for now I wish everyone here a great new year, new friends and those made a while ago. May the new year be a great one for all of you and may we share great moments and experiences - online or irl. 💙

Pictures and editing are by @spectral.craft.ing
Thank you for the great cosplay company again and again! To many more great pics in the future!

“Want to share a bottle of wine?” — Shadowheart 🍷

Shadowheart and Astarion hanging around at the Elfsong Tavern, waiting for Tav’s return.

I really love how the photos from the shooting day together with @ems.maps.n.stuff as #shadowheart at #cosinthecastle by @jenaco_con turned out.

Having a real set and some props is always worth the extra effort 🏰✨

Huge thanks as well to the visitor who helped us out by taking these pictures with both of us 📸💫

A very different and special map project...

For work, I was allowed to color 3D prints of the seven islands of the danger Islands group. A model of the landscape was created based on satellite imagery and then printed and painted with acrylic colors.

The Danger Islands have been put under protection as an Antarctic Specially Protected Area (ASPA) last year, but more data is needed to make management more efficient.

This is a really interesting region and my colleagues have just now returned from an amazing expedition there, studying penguins and other wildlife.
It was so cool to paint these models and I really hope they will be excited and happy to see the upgrade when they return to Germany. by @ems.maps.n.stuff

"We Can’t Let Our Lives Be Ruled By Fear. Or Else We Never Really Live." – Astarion ✨

Last month @ems.maps.n.stuff and I visited the #cosinthecastle event by @jenaco_con to shoot some #astarion and #shadowheart content at @leuchtenburg_thueringen. It’s always such a fun event with tons of amazing shooting locations 🤩

The room with the jungle setting had the perfect Underdark vibes 🌿✨ – but getting the lighting right with my lightweight LED setup was definitely a challenge 😅

@ems.maps.n.stuff absolutely nailed these shots, and we’ve got so much more to share soon! 📸😊

I'm working on this new style thingy as a combo of cosplay photography and digital art (which I am a noob at...). I still have a ton to figure out and experiment but I kind of like where this is going, so here is one of my first tries.

*New map!*

After the city map drawing challenge by @lord.rabbyt ages ago I always wanted to do another map in this style. So, finally, here I present to you: Majkfurt, a small but growing settlement, and the surrounding villages. I love how while drawing cities the stories of those places unfold in my mind by themselves. Almost every house has a mini story about who lives there and what their struggles are.
This time I tried adding some coloration, b/w version is on the last slide. by @ems.maps.n.stuff

Been working on this map project for quite a while (around 7 weeks judging by the number of episodes on #ageofumbra ) and I really like the result. I tried to match the dark mood of the series and the refuge and hope the pyres give.
Last episode @willingblam presented this beautiful prayer and I knew I had to include it. For once I was happy the map took me so long, otherwise I would've missed this chance.
