This little one has just spent 3 months with me in kenya at the most amazing @pembroke_house_school. It was incredible to see her flourish and make the most wonderful friends and seize everything that this remarkable school has to offer- from horse riding to hockey matches, copious hot chocolates at the school cafe, sleep overs with new friends Sienna and Scout and with darling Jess and little Flea, special weekend trips to lewa with my most amazing friends Jecca and Penny, the ‘Big weekend’ at the Heads hub with my old friend Katie and her boys, Taylor swift concerts (by Tavie), dancing to this Lion King song, uno sessions, exploring for butterflies and frogs, canoe trips on lake Naivasha, plane rides, dinky car rallies, movie nights, Kiswahili lessons and so much carefree running around. What she loved most about Pembroke were her friends, ‘the best teacher in the world’ (aka Mrs Ritchie- we even got to stay the night with her!) and the independence the school offered…as for kenya, she said to me as she left she will miss her friends, ‘the heatness’ and the views. There were a couple of challenging moments, one being my godmother being rushed to hospital in Nairobi - I had to drop everything and go to be with her- all the mums were incredible and would constantly check in and tell me how Tavie was- the community is so special and I have never come across a school like it. It was a magical 3 months with Tavie and I will treasure them forever. On the first day of term the Headmistress had read ‘Footprints in the Sand’ at chapel, it took me back as I very rarely hear it and it was the reading daddy had chosen for me to read at his funeral all those years ago. At the end of term Chapel she read it again and I just knew Daddy had been watching over both Tavie and I willing us on and keeping an eye on his beautiful, funny, sassy, inquisitive, bright little grand daughter ❤️🙏❤️ by @emsbw

My 2 bedroom fully furnished flat on Albert Bridge Road overlooking Battersea Park is available from June/July. The flat is on the third floor of a victorian mansion block and there is an eat in kitchen and the sitting has views of the park. Both bedrooms are at the back of the building so very quiet.

After 9 years, I have just sold my company Air Peace of Mind. It started from a kitchen table with £2,000 of savings in 2016. I rented out my Battersea flat & moved to Notting Hill, renting a bedroom in order to get some income without taking a salary for the first couple of years. In those 9 years, I have learnt SO much about myself & what you need to run a company, manage a team & grow organically in the prop tech industry that I had no previous experience in! Like running any company there have been many challenges, not least the global pandemic where we went from 100% growth year on year to a total wipeout of almost all bookings over the 2 years. I had actually been on a charity ski trip with wounded veteran soldiers the week before the UK outbreak which gave me so much perspective & only made me more determined to get through Covid when so many companies went under. I am still working as a consultant at Apom but I leave the ownership & management of it in very capable hands. I am so grateful to all my clients who entrusted me to manage their beautiful homes, not an easy task at times but I always tried my very best to deliver. We managed thousands of bookings over the years, from mega stars & ex presidents, families and travellers wanting to see the amazing global city that london is to doctors and nurses who stayed for free in our homes during Covid. I am beyond grateful to all those amazing people in my life who supported and encouraged me; the cheerleaders 🙏❤️ . Thy mean the world 🌍. There have been so many times where work would conflict with my personal life- in the early days I would often have to jump on my laptop half way through a lunch or dinner party, work most of a holiday I had been invited on and cancel things last minute- I have even pulled my laptop out on a boat trip to a beautiful lodge 30km from the Somali boarder! I gave it my all and as so many business owners say…you can never switch off! Going forward I am going to spend more time in Kenya, a country I love and the best and most priceless thing being TIME to spend with those I 🩷 in the UK and in my house in Lamu and lots of adventures in between. 🙏🩷🙏 by @emsbw
