Recap meiner aller ersten Einzelausstellung »Sonntagsschule« im @bok_bund_offenbacher_kuenstler im Juli 2023.
Ich bin immer noch so krank stolz und dankbar für den Support meiner Freund*innen.

Die textilen Wandarbeiten sind
ebenso wie der Text der performativen Lesung "Die Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen Christentum und BDSM" zwischen 2022 und 2023 entstanden und kreisen gemeinsam um den Themenkomplex der Auseinandersetzung mit den Spätfolgen von christlicher Indoktrinierung.

Wenn ihr meinen Text dazu hören möchtet, schreibt mich an. Ich lese gerne auf eurer Taufe oder auf eurer Orgie. Je nachdem.

Niederknien, Anbetung, Total Power Exchange, Demutsgesten, Strafe und Vergebung. Diese Praktiken und bedeutungsvolle Gesten finden im christlichen Glauben wie auch im gelebten BDSM ihre Verwendung. Zwischen den beiden doch sehr unterschiedlichen Lebensausrichtungen gibt es womöglich mehr Gemeinsamkeiten als den Vertreter:innen beider Gruppen lieb ist. Die Künstlerin Maike Christina Dorn beschäftigt sich in ihrer Einzelausstellung “Sonntagsschule” im BOK, Bund Offenbacher Künstler, mit dem durchaus komplexen Zusammenhang von doktrinärer Religiosität und deren Auswirkungen. Sie stellt (und beantwortet!) Fragen wie: Welche Gemeinsamkeiten gibt es zwischen BDSM und christlich gelebten Glauben? Wie wirkt frühkindliche, christliche Indoktrinierung dem Ausbilden eines gesunden Erwachsenen entgegen? Wie wirkt sich christliche Bildung auf die Moralentwicklung aus? Was ist ein Demütigungs-Kink und was hat Gott mit “Daddy Issues” zu tun?

"Für 10 Euro heile ich dein inneres Kind" is part of a bigger collection of pieces around the topic of demon dogs, healing journeys, hero journeys and the wonders of emotional neglect. I'm still making art even tho I struggle (very much) with the idea of going back to art school. We will see. Also, I would love to not only do Baustelle but to finish all of those ongoing pieces so I can show them all together in an exhibition. We'll see how and when I will achieve that. by @emskadenz

Knotting - From Friendship Bracelets to Wall Decor

This workshop focuses on creating shapes and lettering using knotting techniques. Various knotting methods date back to the Stone Age. Diverse cultures have invented and utilized a variety of knotting techniques. Today, knotting still finds its place in modern jewelry, decorations, and crafts. In this workshop, we will use the technique that experienced a revival in the 1990s, particularly as a friendship bracelet.

This involves creating text and shapes based on small squares, similar to pixel art. The aim of this workshop is to have an understanding of how to create shapes and letters based on squares, as well as to be able to design and create one’s own designs of various sizes.

Originally working in the field of illustration, the artist Ems Kadenz has been creating various textile artworks since 2020, including wall hangings, tapestries, and knotted pieces. Their works, which are often combined with texts and performances, appear inviting and colorful at first glance, but upon closer inspection and in the context of the performative content, they reveal a complex exploration of emotionally stirring themes.

2025 was an intense year for me. I got very sick at the end of summer and I’m still in a phase of recovery. I’m even more grateful that I was able to participate in the @berlinartweek thanks to @sophia_suessmilch and @cathrin.hoffmann

My heart is full of joy every time I look at these beautiful pictures that @inna.aaaaaaaaaaaa took. All the love goes out to my fellow performers who made the impossible possible in the shortest amount of time. Those were some crazy days and I’m so happy we pulled it off. Looking forward to hopefully be working with you again in the future.
