💕Hey!! You may notice my name is now @emsnieska and not @theportlandfoodies ! 💕

I’ve been thinking of changing my name now for a while! When I started The Portland Foodies, it was meant to be a joint account with my husband. Which you can tell he’s not really on this account 😜

I also tend to share a LOT more on here than just food! I share small businesses I love, weekend trips, my every day life and more. So it just felt restricting to use the name “The Portland Foodies”.

So it’s still Em here and nothing will really change! I’m still going to share my fav food in Portland + more! I’m using this post to share a little about me and some quick facts like I love reality tv , Diet Coke and reading 💕

Now let me know in the comments a restaurant, activity or place I need to check out in Portland and show on my page soon 👇🏼

(a d) The ultimate girls weekend is coming up October 22-25!
In partnership with @tualatinvalley and @traveloregon, you can have an exciting Women’s Adventure Weekend with Kelly Cox aka @houseof_creature.

Enjoy a three-day weekend celebration of harvest season. With experiences like:
🍁 Chocolate making with @stachechocolate
🍁 Hazelnut harvesting at Banks Road Farms
🍁 Lunch and wine workshop with @sostahouse
🍁 Kayaking on the Tualatin River
🍁 Charcuterie making class with @coopermountainvineyards

And more all with travel and lodging (at @the_orenco_hotel) incorporated into the experience and led by Kelly Cox (who is the host of The Original Fare on PBS).

There are still spots available, you can sign up on houseofcreature.com and the 🔗 is in my bio as well! Who’s in for this amazing weekend!?

Whidbey island is the perfect destination for a girls trip!

Good food, beautiful sites and it’s the filming location for the first practical magic! So there’s major sisterhood vibes here.

If you’re looking for your own sisterhood, join us! We are a women + queer friendly group in Portland. We go on trips, dinners, explore and more! Join us at @pdx.supperclub

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and it can be for you too!

Next time you’re in bend, check out @bigskyballoonco . It’s a small 2 man operation run by Darren and @garrettpink . We had such an amazing experience. They only run for a few more weeks this year but you can check them out in 2027 as well!

Thanks for letting me experience this @visitbend

Easy Halloween decor for your front yard!

You just need plastic Halloween buckets (make sure to drill holes for drainage!) and witches hats (order online). Hang them with fishing line and you have an easy, magical decoration!

It is fall in Bend Oregon!

And the foliage and outdoors are just beautiful! I explored with @visitbend and saw some beautiful views. Remember to always leave no trace behind when exploring the outdoors!

And plan our visit to Bend this fall!
