POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Nobody tells you this about concert photography: it's more about the moments than the gear. • While having great equipment is important, it’s your ability to capture the raw emotion of a performance that truly matters. Those fleeting moments—an artist's smile, the intensity in their eyes, or the crowd's electric energy—are what make your photos unforgettable. Remember, it's not just about the shot; it's about the story you tell. So next time you're at a concert, focus on those connections. Your best images will come from the heart. 🤍 • • • #concertcontentcreator #capturemoments #concertphotographers #concertenthusiast #concertreels taken in Utrecht by @emsouthernvisuals

It goes without saying that @__flyte__ has a place in this post. I've been following along on their journey for some years now, and every time I fall more in love with their music and the community they have created. If you're open to listening to English indie-folk, I cannot recommend them enough. @elanor.moss as opener for @__flyte__ on their winter EU leg last year. Elanor writes beautiful songs and sings them on stage just as beautifully. I hope to see her on the road again soon ❤️ I wanted to include this one because it's my favorite double exposure picture I've taken so far. @grandson captured at @doornroosjenl in Nijmegen, 2023. This still remains one of my favorite pictures of closeup details I've steadily added to my concert photography shot list 🎸🤘 A nice and crisp side profile of @nicksantino from @beachweather taken in October, 2024. It was an amazing experience where I got to meet the band, meet new friends and truly experience the magic of the concert-going experience 🙏 @jensderuyte from @sonsyeahsons. I heard them for the first time in Venlo at a festival and I've been hooked ever since! They are incredibly energetic onstage and very fun to photograph. Looking forward to seeing them again later this year in Utrecht 🪩 P.2 @jensderuyte from @sonsyeahsons. A very interesting subject to photograph during a performance. He bounces around a lot and is so in tune with the music he's playing! But I'm particularly proud of this close-up detailed still of his jewelry, guitar and tattoos 🪩 @bensonboone captured at TivoliVredenburg here in Utrecht, May 2024. P.2 @bensonboone captured at TivoliVredenburg here in Utrecht, May 2024. Another one of my favorite exercises in editing and incorporating overlays. And, last but not least - this love letter is not just addressed to the artists and genres who make the trips from A-B more worthwhile when you put your headphones on. • The way they make you feel seen and heard when you think you're not. • The electrifying atmosphere of a club sized venue to a stadium - this love letter is dedicated to the fans. Many whom often open themselves up to strangers and embrace them as their own, for elevating the ex taken in Utrecht by @emsouthernvisuals
