WHO IS SAKA ? — BEYOND THE CRAFT

Two years ago, I met Saka through a modelling gig.

She was there doing what she does best — accessorizing, paying attention to the little things, and somehow making the smallest details feel like they belonged exactly where they were.

I remember noticing how much character her work brought into a frame.

We stayed in touch, and over time, I continued to watch her create. The artist. The entrepreneur. The woman behind Seka Jewels. The one constantly turning ideas into beautiful things.

And somewhere along the way, I thought:

What if we brought Saka out from behind the scenes?

Not as the person styling someone else.
Not as the artist behind the work.
Not as the business owner.

Just Saka.

Her natural element. Her personality. Her presence.

This project became an opportunity to let the person behind the craft occupy the frame for once — to tell a little more of her story beyond the things she creates.

Because sometimes, the most beautiful thing to photograph isn’t the work.

It’s the person who makes it.

Happy birthday, Ruth 🎂

I’ve known @ms_bariat for a few years, and one thing that has always stood out to me is how much of her personality lives in her art. She’s hardworking, intentional, creative, and never afraid to own her presence.

So when we created these images, it wasn’t about giving her a character to play. We simply curated what was already there.

Her confidence. Her elegance. Her artistry. Her story.

And somehow, the camera just had to listen.
