It is time to turn the corner from working with soft clay (for now) and begin sorting and glazing bisqueware. Many more boxes of bisqueware will be added to this collection before this round of production is complete. I'm still on track to complete everything on time, and I can't thank you all enough for your incredible support and patience as I work through this sea of tiles! Big thank you to the one and only @murava_ceramics for reposting my work, and to everyone who followed me as a result!Fair warning: I'm not nearly as interesting online as she is, but I have spent the last 20+ years doing doing my best to spread beauty in the form of handmade ceramic tiles. I spent most of those years going through every phase of the tilemaking process every week, which seems unreal to me now. These days, I work in large batches, and life is much calmer. Here's some of what's drying in my studio now. (And if you didn't find me through @murava_ceramics and aren't familiar with her work, check out her spoons! They are amazing, and so is she. 🍄🥄) by @emu_art_tile

This talented homeowner remodeled his kitchen himself. He designed and installed the backsplash using my feature tiles (dark brown with designs) and field tiles from @fireclaytile. He also BUILT THE CABINETS HIMSELF! You gotta swipe to the second picture to really appreciate his woodworking skills. I don't typically take on custom or historic reproduction projects, but when a good friend here in town asked me to recreate the starburst pattern her grandpa designed for her family's kitchen floor in 1955, I was too intrigued to say no... by @emu_art_tile

And that's a wrap! The last of the tiles from this round of production shipped out today. I feel fantastic about everything I sent out, and I am going to take some time to regroup and possibly work on a new design or two.
